Ok this will get deleted, or locked I am sure, but here goes any way.

In the Fall of 2004 I won a tourny that Tactical Gamer held called the "Badger Hunt". This was a Ghost Recon tournament. UBI sponsered it by providing prizes.they where
Farcry
Brothers in Arms
GR2 (on release)
Splinter Cell
After months(6+-) of waiting and many conversations Farcry and brothers in arms finaly got here. After 15 months I have long since given up all hop that UBI will ever send Splinter Cell and GR2 was cancelled.

I bring this up here and now because Geiger has in several threads made it clear his thoughts about any one who has bad things to say about UBI.In one post he said "If you (speaking in general) don’t like Lockdown don’t buy it. Quit however, posting the same rants over and over and over and taking snipes at Ubisoft. You are burying the posts that will make a difference in the future of Rainbow. If you don’t want to be a part of that, you’re welcome to go find another community." It was my understanding that He is with UBI. Well I for one have plenty to complain about with UBI yet I generaly stick to the issues of LockDown and refrain from Bashing. I do agree that we as a community need to police our selves, and stick to the topic of LD and not bash UBI if we hope to get any thing acomplished. My biggest complaint and I have and will continue to voice the opinion that UBI and/or any representative who claims to have the intrest of this comunity in mind should refrain from coments as inflamitory as this one is.

Valid information about development and about the issues that many have addressed in these forums,Run/walk speed, grenade ret.,dedi server for demo etc.. has been nill. this leads to alot of hard feelings. we are told that it needs to be constructive critasism ant it will be heard but we get no replies about those things. I have no intention of buying the game untill I know if these issues will be addressed. I have had and still do have High hopes for this game but another arcade game is not nessasary I have plenty. I also admin a clan and handle the dedi servers. I am expected to inform and explain these issues there. It is hard to do when dealing with a company who keeps us in the dark and falls short of thier promises.
I hope, not to start a flame war but to increase awareness among the Comunity leaders, UBI staff and Moderators, That clear open and frank explanations and answers will help stem the tide of hate filled posts and gender good will amoung the community. I do hope this post will help to bring about some changes in the way that threads are responded to, and help pull this community together.

Well said, I also find it a bit rediculous that a multi-million dollar international corporation couldn't supply a couple of free games in a timely manner but that's not the issue.

Actually, the 1st and 2nd placeholders of the Splinter Cell Tournament have yet to receive there prizes as well. The link where the lament their fate is below:

Looks like UBI (a multi-million dollar corporation) has a history of such trouble. I agree, it is rediculous.... That a multi-million dollasr corporation can not get it's prizes to the people who earned them.

GameBattles asked Ubisoft to have the Contest. Ubisoft only Supports them, It means giving them visitors by putting the Ubisoft Logo on the Gamebattle website.

Ubi as nothing to do with the contest itself, The prices are given by the Group who organises the Contest.

Sad but true ..

I'll look into both. For the Badger hunt, as far as I know all things were supplied with the exception of Ghost Recon 2 PC and those people will be receiving copies of GRAW.

In the event something was overlooked, I'm sorry. Big doesn't mean perfect and it surely isn't anything to beat us over the head with. In the past, when something slipped through the cracks like that, I also sent extra games to make up for it.

I'll make sure everyone gets their prizes.

UbiSoft deserves every snipe that they get. As they did their level best to try to kill Raven Shield with sheer apathy and lack of support.

BTW man, the thinking man's shooter is called Brothers In Arms Earned In Blood. Great game! Its all about tactics, squad movement and flanking the enemy.
