Online play?!?!?!?!

Granted I am new at this game (9th patrol in a little VII-A u-boat) but I would really love to play this game online with/against some other players but everytime I log in, no one is ever there. I know this game isn't really an online game as it is mainly a single player one but hell, some interaction with some other people would be good! At the moment, a mate of mine and I play using the lan function by him VPN into my machine and playing that way. The other day we had 6 guys connected and playing at it wasn't half bad.

So, in other words, can some please tell me if I am being stupid (ie missing the plot) or what cause I read your guys posts everyday, it would be great to play with/against you as well.

I also had on line gaming in my thoughts. A couple of times I tried to log in ubi servers was not so fun (ubi was OK, players not, actualy not present).
Suggestion: Why don't we "stick" a post where "randez-vous" for matches will be posted?
Sidenote: I don't do it right know as my schedule don't permit me the dedication needed. I hope the near future be better.
