Maybe I'm wrong. But can we get some ID's on these armor pieces?

On a side note, theres the Luxor obelisk I was talking about in another thread. Looks like I was right about the specific location of the battle of the trailer (Place de la Concorde, Paris).

Just noticed something potentially interesting in that picture I posted. If look behind the apcs on the right, there is some more armor with rocket launchers mounted on them. Interesting. Very, very interesting.

Everytime I look at these pictures I notice more detail. Same thing happened when I watched the trailer too.

Not to be picky, but that tank is most likely the German original version, which is the kind that sweden bought and modified.

Secondly, when a 3rd 'great' war occurs, i dont think it will end off mankind, but who knows, it really depends on whos fighting who and what its being faught over(but most likely the first option)Since if all the countries that have nuclear weapons are against each other then it will be an 'Endwar' IMO. Secondly, I know that Canada has an army, I am Canadian, and we need all the tanks we can get, we only have 66 tanks tanks that are about 30 years old, and we won't be able to get spare parts for them for much longer, so they will have to be put out of service (we also have 20 tanks that are on loan from Germany until we get the 40 we bought from the Netherlands), we have already bought 40 from the netherlands, and may eventuially buy up to 60 more bringing our total number or tanks up to 100

Could I ask where Russia is supposed find the cash for 40k tanks, or better yet, the steel to make them, they have other things to do then build 40000 paperweights, even at the height of the CW they didn't have 40k of tanks in frontline service, seriously what would they do with them, park them in storage, they have huge underground bunkers out East that still have T34-85's in mint condition in them, 400 maybe, 4000 unlikely, 40000 no,

I thought that the armour in question in the picture was actually the French Leclarec tank is it not or are we sure it is the Swed's because I thought that the Leclarec would make more sense (sorry for my spelling) as well those are perhaps Mirage 2000 fighters in the sky or maybe I have mistaken them too...

Still come on 40K tanks, unless there is a stockpile of massive resources somewhere, the budget exists of money they pluck out of thin air, and the EEC and JSF are infact on a team (have to be to counter 40K tanks), I think they will be hard pressed to get them all, not saying its completely impossible (it is a video game), just that I think its highly unlikely.

Thats exactly my point, it is going to be hard to pull of saying that they bought 40K tnaks (no meantiance or ammo) and still have money to hire crew, gas, infantry, resources, aircraft, helos, ships, porduction, etc. Its very unlikely.

around 500 billion dollars are spent on this..so it's real..I've heard it many times on TV..

Wouldn't surprise me if this was true. M1A1 isn't designed for jumping. The Abrams chassis is made for stabilty over extremely rough and steep terrain, but not jumping.

As I said Russia has vast undergrund storage bunkers full of mint condition T-64s/72s/ect ect, they have them on paper, doesn't mean they can throw them into action tommorrow, war reserve....although T72's are not reeally considered MBT's anymore, they are out classed by every modern tank, the Russian only have a few hundred T-80 and 90's

Yes, your point?, he's a politican and I don't care if the Pope said it, 40,000 tanks is unlikly, Russia can't even get it's main naval units to sea in good shape or keep it's pilots up on flight hours and they are going to spend 10's of billions on tanks, this is not WWII the day of Kursk size battles is gone, you mobilize tanks in huge numbers, all they are are targets for airpower....for what logical purpose?

Just to put it in perspective, the US has 8000 Abrams, they are decreasing that to around 5500, the PLA has about 11000 2/3's of which are compleatly obsolete Type-59's and Type-69's, they have small numbers of Type-89 and 96's, their future tank whuich is now in low rate production is the Typre-99, of which they plan to buy about 2000, this for an army considerably larger then Russia's, with a far larger economy, population ect....if Russia gets even a 1/4 of that 40K, I'll eat my socks

In 1981 Russia made 2500 tanks, so if they make 2500 by years during eight years, (for 2015) they will make 20000 tanks, so with there 22800 tanks that they have nowaday it's possible to have 40000 tanks. And in 1981 the Soviet had a less important GDP than Russia today, so with a part of Military expenditure less important in the budget, Russia can make many tanks, probably less than 2500 by year but many.

500 billion dollars....500 BILLION DOLLARS. Well this is false because America's military budget is about 475 billion dollars which is 50% of all the military budgets in the world combine. So, Russia doesnt even come close their military budget is up there with Chinas around 100 billion actually little higher around 125 billion. When the russians build tanks it is about 18 to one ratio , so that very large losses can be repeated over and over with no loss of combat support for units. Fast built, fast over haul ,simplest design .When they get it right it truely is great .By 2020 the M1A1 is a very dated design .Isreal tanks in end war would be interesting .But what is important are each of the major players going to get Ghost units to inflict on the oponents?

Those "jumps" were intended to show the endurance and quality of the tank's suspension. After all, until recently, only soviet/russian tanks were able to perform such stunts.

Actually they do have a formidable military, and since the consitution has been changed and they have a defence ministry now,I'm pretty confident the GSDF/ASDF/NSDF will change to proper Army ai force and navy, hell they have an offensive SOF unit now, new amphibious assult ships and a new "helicopter cruiser2 that looks like a baby aircraft carrier and have talked openly about pre-emptive air strikes on NK missile sites

the one's in the EndWar screenshots are the BlackEagle, which is actually a derivative of the t-80. according to my "jane's armor recognition guide" it's designated the -
T-80 UM-2 "BlackEagle".
