Hey guys

I have gotten PT after finishing the first game. I am having problems getting the game to play. I get as far as creating the profile.. After I create the profile, the screen comes up and says it is loading. After that, It returns to the desktop and then nothing fut=rther happens.

I have downloade 3D analyzer that somebody said was a patch to fix my pixel shader issue. Still I cannot get the game to play. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_redface.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Can anybody help me so I can get to playing the sequel to a great game? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

I don't think you can get pixel shader support just from a patch. You'll have to buy a new graphics card.

If the issue is pixel shading then you are going to have to upgrade your video card. It is a hardware problem. The game requires pixel shading to create the graphics so you need a video card capable of performing that. Things like an MX series or onboard video chips like Intel won't work for this or Chaos Theory. There are emulators, but do not work well enough to play a game. The first game did not use them. Check the list of supported cards on the game and get the best you can afford. Newer cards released since them will work too. Just make sure you get one that will fit in your video card slot. You either have PCI (old technology and not the same as PCI Express which is out now) or AGP. In the not too expensive good card category would be an NVidia 6600 or 6800 series. But again, they are available in both PCI Express and AGP so get the right one suitable for your machine.
