I came across this at a Forum I used to play GR at - one of the players had been to the Euro Convention. Im not sure about the legalities of viewing the video but its there anyway. I guess if you went to the convention you would have seen this anyway.
"Hey Guys, I was at the Games Convention today and took apart in the GR3 Presentation by UBI.
Here the Video that I recorded with my Digicam --> http://home.pages.at/nexy/nexrecordgr3.zip / Download
Then we had the chance to talk to the Lead Dev. afterwards, no one else then me was interested.. He had a french accent but a very good english.
My Questions:
Will GR3 will defintily be released for the PC?
He said yes, the scenes in the Movie were taken from the PC version that will definitly be released.
Is the game all that Urban?
Yes, the game is, but there are 2 maps which take place in the mexico city park, trees and all that jungle fans like.
How many multiplayer maps will there be?
12 m. maps for each 32 players
What gametypes will be there?
Last man standing, and all the **** from Gr2 basically
There still is peeking and all the stuff from gr1, the view was FIRST PERSON! with gunmodels though, there are no maps but you can use drones to watch the area arround you in 3d, you can slide arround corners etc etc
All in all it was a great presentation, I reallly liked that however the game looks, it is still some kind of ghost recon, and Im sure that we all will like it."

This movie gives a great example of how the screenshots dont show everything. If you notice the 'bloom' effect from passing from daylight into shadow, you can see that the idea is that when you first look into the daylight its glary until your eyes adjust. Likewise, when you look back into the shadows your eyes have to readust again. Brilliant effect IMO.
Overall, I love the look of it so far. GJ guys.

Great scoop! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
Hard to say something about the visual quality, the video is so small.....
Have to say that I find awful the animations and phisics of doors and tires popping out of the car.....hope that they will fix it in final release.

Notice the parking meter too, spilling coins.

Be careful of what you read from others. I spoke with Bo Andersson, CEO from GRIN and he was the only one from the development team actually there. Bo isn't French nor does he have a French accent.

The video obviously showcases a destructible urban environment. Is the entire game going to be set in an urban envirionment? I mean this is Ghost Recon right, not Rainbow Six? Whatever, hopefully WK's report clears things up.

That video footage seems to be from NeX from the IGS clan (International Gaming Syndicate), that's on the URL. Thanks for the sneak peak [IGS]NeX[GR]. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

Did you notice the ability to peek up as well as lean out? Great feature, must be part of the advanced lean feature.
The movie clearly shows how the light bloom effect works, when you go into the shadows or into the light, your eyes have to adjust to the brightness or dark, excellent effect.
