View Full Version : Armor Classes: Are there 3 or are there 4?

I've seen conflicting reports.

I've seen people say light = 0-3, med = 4-6, and heavy = 7-10.

Then I've seen people say that "0" is its own class, and light is 1-3, med = 4-6, and heavy = 7-10.

So, has anyone tested it? If I slap on an elbow pad to bring my armor up to 1 bar from 0 bars... how much protection does it afford vs the 0?

The official strategy guide states that there are 4 levels of protection...

0 = No Armour.
1-3 = Light Armour.
4-7 = Medium Armour.
8-10 = Heavy Armour.

1 armor makes no diference.

The 3 different levels for armor are: 0 (none), 4 (light), and 7 (heavy). All other values just make you run slower and give no extra protection.

im inclined to believe that zero is different in armour somehow, and if not it effects speed more. the speed of a long johning zero is slightly different with the addition of one bar of armour. I use at least two bars of speed, because i feel that i run to fast at zero bars mobility, so 2-3-4 of armour slows down my actions to a pace i can run with.

It would would be 1(light), 4(medium), and 8(heavy). Those would be the three levels of protection, and the lightest you could go in each category without any difference in protection. Zero armor is not a level of protection. You could call it a class of armor if you wanted to, but seeing as you have no armor on it wouldn't really fit into that either.
