Does anyone know if there is a mod that brings back some old artifacts like Armageddon's Blace, the Titans Thunder Collection, and the Angellic Alliance collection?

Is it possible to mod artifacts with the editor at all? I have seen no modded artifacts in maps yet.

Oh come on. Don't you tell me that when you are already on a winning rampage, you don't want an artifact that makes the game that much more fun. Besides, I can't see how it ruined the H3 game. The only way you could get it was through map editor (except on one level), and the campaign was designed to balance againt the blade. So when you finally get to use it, you find yourself facing an anti-magic garrison.

Im not talking about the campaign.
I remember getting the Armageddon's Blade
from a grave at the beggining of a hot seat game.

A "grave" probably means Warrior's Tomb...
Anyway, the Armagedon's Blade and some other uber-artifacts (right now I remember Vial of Dragonblood) are unavailable (i.e. disabled by default in the map editor) on the random maps and most of the ordinary "custom" maps. Your map was either bugged, or with enabled Armageddon's Blade (so the map is to blame), or it just had never existed. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Basically, he is saying what I said. The only way to get Armageddon's Blade was to edit the map. You had to be playing a previously changed map or something. I remember that you had to go to Map Properties, Artifacts and check the box for artifacts that you want to appear randomly.

If I got the A Blade from a grave at the beginning of a hot seat game, I would be rendered incapable of continuing due to all the ensuing hilarity. And I'd never get to use it because my opponent would insist on starting over.
Imagine it:
"What did you get from that coffin outside your castle?"
"A statue that increases my Eagle Eye by 15%. What did you get?"
"Armegeddon's Blade"
"#@%*$&^*%$"

No it wasnt the only way.
Easily on random maps you can find it.I remember clearly getting it from dragon utopia.
Armegedons blade with orb of inhibition and some other stuff is imba.

I dont want to return them either. And I have a slight fear that set artifacts will be also too powerfull and ruin the balance.I am multi-player
so sorry but "balance" does matter for me.

Well, I guess there's no need to return them in full power. I always wondered why they gave such a huge bonuses to combo artifacts http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif they easily ruined any multi-player game...
Yet the very idea looks rather nice to me and I wouldn't mind getting combos once again. But their power should be limited to combined power of artifacts + some minor bonus from the theme -- like +10-20 magic resistance for a set of Dwarven armor -- no more. So that the effect was not greater than 1 additional artifact of a middle level. Thus they will be useful yet not overpowered...

I disagree (to some extent). Even if you are in multiplayer, there is some sort of balance. Artifacts that are easy to find should have weak bonuses. Armor of Damned was way OP and too easy to get. But what about all Relic combos? Angellic Alliance and Titan's Thunder were NOT easy to get on a single map. They rarely ever appeared in proper order. Many times you would have two Swords of Judgement and no Sandals. The bonuses for those harer to get artifacts were pretty fair. Titan's Thunder.. 600 damage is not something to worry about in the late game. Super powered wizards can probably do that much so the threats the same (only difference is infinite casting). Angellic Alliance...come one, the only real bonus was the original one and prayer. You rarely ever mix creatures from factions. And the individual bonuses were available as individual artifacts that had bonuses worthy of relics. So no imbalance there.
I will reviw some of the other ones too:
Cloak of the Undead King: WAY OP for Necromancers. Other than that, pretty fair.
Ring of the Magi: Who cares, you can just recast 10 turns later.
Well of Mana: Doesn't affect outcome too much, unless you're facing someone with high mana points that they waste very fast.
Statye of Legion: NOT easy to get (except on XL maps). The bonus is incredible and I think worthy of such an artifact.
Think about it... 10-20% magic resistance...against the thigns you have to go through to get it. I think 30-50% is a little bit better. Besides, the pieces themselves make you immune to a good deal of spells already.
