I just bought the game today off the ubisoft website and thought I'd get a sneak peek at how the game is gonna be... Well it installed fine and I have the right directX and all, but when I click on the Farcry.exe to open it, nothing happens at all...

I have a P4 1.4GHz with over half a gig of memory. Well over 40 gigs of space and all other programs weren't running at the time.

I read the basic requirements on the Ubisoft webpage and my PC is better than that. I can't figure out why it wont run. Any help?

I'll probably be pretty angry if I can't play the game I just spent nearly $40 on.

Ok well I saw that the Nvida vid card needs certain drivers to work.. Well I got those drivers, installed them and then restarted. They didn't help a thing. Far Cry still doesn't even try to load. Any other ideas?

Try a FX5700 for the best combo of price and performance, but if you want alot better performance for just a little bit more money, get the ATI 9800.

lmao...man, if your going to go out to buy a whole new card, why the heck are you buying a FX5200??? That is near the absolute bottom line for video cards, as I said above, if you want the best compo of price (about 200) and performance, go for the FX5700 256mb, and if you want a lot more performance for just a little bit more money, go for the 9800!!! THe Fx5200 is sure a lot better then your CURRENT one, but its still cr/4p compared to the ones out there nowadays. Hope this helps!

Yea man, I know it's not the best. But I'm getting fronted $30 just to buy this card, lol. Maybe I should get a job. Being 18 with no job blows.
