Where to enter cd key?

Aint playd this game in ages and decided to try it out again now 1.4 is out.Got to admit im a bit confused, and wondering if any of you guys could help me out?
First thing i thought they had sorted the semi invisable crew i still have it{yes i do have legit copy collectors edetion with legit cd key}
brings up another point where do you enter cd key? as i was told these problems of the semi transparent crew and the pop out eyes are security measures.
So any help guys would be greatly apprieciated.

Welcome back,

My understanding is that it doesn't need the CD key in once installed and if you have it patched to 1.4 you don't even need the DVD in the drive!.

If you patch to 1.4. you will find the whole game has vastly improved, PLUS, there are some 'not to be missed' MODS that have been built.
