S!

Not sure if Barmyfluid is the same person that posted his movie at VWC. There is a movie posted there with the same name "Mitchell" from filmmaker name Maximum Bob.

Anyway this movie is truly outstanding!!
If you love Spitfires kicking @ss, you will love this movie!!
Here is a new link....good for 7 days, 25 downloads.

Yeah, Barmyfluid and Maximum Bob are both me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thanks for the working link.

I'm still trying to get it onto Netwings for a permanent host, but these should do in the meantime.

Hello Barmy,

It€s not very often that someone comes along with a first movie that hits the spot on so many elements at once; this movie is just excellent on so many aspects http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Firstly the modern cinematography was top notch, so many different views throughout the movie, and you used all the available camera variations from the game to great effect.

The settings used for the B&W sequences again were very good and the colour sequences had the right saturation which made good eye candy.

As someone who spends a great deal of time on the editing side of movie making I want to say that there was some very slick editing in this movie, I saw it and you know were it was, very well done indeed http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

All the above made this movie top draw IMO, but the thing that stood out the most for a fist time movie is that you established a €œstyle€ of your own instantly. There are not many new movies come along that achieve this, but this one stands out because of your vision and style.

Overall, one of the best movies I have seen this year, I truly enjoyed the whole experience and atmosphere of the movie, anyone reading this should download it now, you will not be disappointed.

A great modern tribute to R.J Mitchell, again excellent work Barmy

Very nice indeed. Film making top notch.

Was good to see the targets of the spits were not always docile AI, who bank slowly at 20 degrees when under enemy fire. There was some serious evasive action taking place in your film. So often I can't help spotting the dumb bots from quick mission builder being blown apart for cinematic effect. Not here, good stuff m8! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

OMG! I was blown away by this! Absolute brilliant work!

The gun effects were superb and added immensly to the enjoyment. The BoB scene is by far the best, that Spitfire pilot is a true ace http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The music made for a real laid back, 'business as usual' sorta feeling, which is perfect for the Spitfire. Scene transitions were very well done and extremely professional looking.

Camera angles and use of both internal and external were used in the right situations. Use of zoom in the cockpit and first contact were very impressive, especially the cockpit ones. Again, when flying alongside the V-1, the pilot looking at the wing then the Doodlebug was very cool lookin http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Hungary Is On The List is my top movie, but this makes for some VERY strong competition http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I have already posted some quick comments at Simhq.com but let me take my time to congratulate you on a job well done! It's practically flawless and to the point. You have taken many pointers in IL2 movie making into account, in other words, you took the best of many IL2 movies and mixed them into your movie.

I'm a big Spitfire fan, you will notice it on my upcoming movie "The Few". Keep up the great work!

After D/Ling and on attempting to view this piece of fine film, I'm getting a Windows Media Player has encountered a problem and needs to close error message (got it at work without a problem) So am a bit upset as I'd really enjoyed it and wouyld like to be able to burn it on my FB Movie disc.

Anyone else had this happen? Tried the link provided plus another one added further down in the post.

Not sure if you understand the problem here?
You were able to view the movie...correct? What version of Windows Media Player are you using?

Gutted movie "Legend" wasn't render using DivX, or XVid codec. He use Windows Movie Makers II to render his movie.

Link for XVid: http://www.xvidmovies.com/codec/

Hope this helps....enjoy!!

As I said in the earlier thread which didn't take off for some reason (pardon the pun!)... Bravo Maximum Bob!

Excellent stuff all round. Editing, technique, and Sound FX all top notch. Entertaining throughout and well worth your sleepless nights!

I would have prefered a strong classical piece of music for the score, but that's just personal preference.

This goes in my top 5 IL2 movies. Looking forward to your next offering m8 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
