I found out yesterday that my school wouldn't be leaving for break until the 21st of December, which sucks...
It's also confusing. This school year (for my school) hasn't been different from the last one. We haven't needed to 'catch up'. I distinctly remember times when break had started on the 14th or 15th.
The question remains: Why so God damned late?

Thats how it is. Last year I had school until the 22nd (or 21st, whichever was a Wednesday) and we started on the 9th.

The school district board of education dictates the schedule, and all the days off. You may think nothing has changed, but there are a couple extra days in there that you usually wouldnt get off (cant think of the specific day).
