The last U.S. troops pulled out of Iraq, reportedly. May they all get safely home in time for the holidays with their families. I don't know about everyone else, but I respect them for their courage, their professionalism, and of course the fact that as citizen soldiers they put off months and even years of their lives to do the right thing.

David Hickman was considered the last soldier killed last I checked in Nov from Greensoboro NC. I went to school with his father, another tragic loss, along with almost 4500 other US servicemen and women.

God bless them all and glad to see this war wrapping up after so many years.

God bless and God speed. I'm glad they're coming home, definitely none too soon. I also pray that the withdraw is not premature, that peace and democracy are strong enough to remain.
