Character Poll

I'm not trying to be a jerk here, just all this discussion has me thinking, which characters did the community really want in the game? So I'm doing a poll listing the non-essential characters included in Smash Up and the most requested characters according to the "Serious Expansion" thread that's been locked and the names that I've picked up on visiting the boards. Sorry if I miss someone, but I tried to cover everything.

I always liked Bebop and Rocksteady, and I'm partial to Rhinos, so out of all those guys, I chose Rocksteady.

Leatherhead has always been my favorite character, and I thought he was a shoo-in when 1up.com read him off of a list. Made me sad to find out he wasn't in it.

Somebody also read Bebop and Rocksteady off a list. Damn, what a letdown. I really like Leatherhead and Slash too, Slash was my very favorite figure.

Bebop and Rocksteady should be one character on this list. You can't have one without the other (though some games have tried). And Rocksteady would win tenfold anyways and make Bebop look bad because anyone who wants Bebop wants Rocksteady more.

I voted Bebop. However, if Bebop got in, the Rocksteady had better be there, too. If it was only Bebop or Rocksteady, then I'd rather have Leatherhead.

I've always been a bias person towards old school stuff and the first time I remember watching the ninja turtles was the 2nd movie. Because of that I would have really liked to have seen Tokka/Rahzar in the game. If I had to pick just one it would be Rahzar.

haha!! "where is venus". On that topic, I've found the show incredibly hard to get a hold of for my collection.

I chose Usagi Yojimbo. For some reason he has always been my favourite cross over and favourite secondary turtles character. He's just 100percent badass. There have been arguments he wasn't in the game because Stan Sakai owns the character but why now would he disagree to shake hands with the franchise. A lot of his characters have been in turtles comics as well as the cartoons. Battle Nexus is my favourite mini series because of him alone.

Usagi's Rhino friend is also a pretty interesting and funny character, though I never really expected to see him in any games. Usagi though... Definitely a let down he's not around for this one.

Karai. I know she made the game, but I'd have been really disappointed if she didn't.

I agree some of the choices were ordinary, but I think a lot of people rather like Karai's character. Especially considering how much fighting games recently (most notably Brawl) have been gipping on female characters.

I didn't think it would be fair to have two characters in the same slot cause that would be double the votes? Obviously both Bebop and Rocksteady or both Tokha and Razhar would be in together, but I wanted to see what people would choose if they just chose one (and yes, you can assume the other would probably make it). About Karai, I didn't create this to dispute the validity of any included character, I just wanted to see how the community created roster would look compared to the Ubisoft created roster. Sorry that Karai missed a vote, but I can't fix that. Read before you reply next time XP JK. Whoever voted for an "other 87 cartoon character" mind if I ask who?

I said Leatherhead because I was absolutely certain he would be in the game, he's been in every iteration of the Turtles.

I also thought Rat King would be. I wasn't expected Bebop since, once they unveiled that stupid Utrominator, I realized they weren't going to give any fan service to the 80's cartoon at all (or only half-assed false advertising, like using the logo and showing the Technodrome).

Triceraton would have been a no-brainer. And some version of Baxter (I was expecting the black one, maybe with some mousers).

The poll is kind of hard to read. The name is under the amount of votes. Rabbids have none.

I chose Tohka for 2 reasons.

1.It was just hard to decide because this poll has so many wicked toons to choose from.

2.He's my fav mutant of all time.

The idea of a bigger stronger turtle to take on the turtles is the same idea as spiderman fighting Venom.

He was a great creation like Venom.

Imagine haveing to fight yourself X10 in 1 body... Scary....

Actually I think adding in Night watcher, Utrominator, Fugitoid and the Rabbids was a good call because I doubt anyone would request any of those characters and be very serious about it, I'd have put Foot Ninja in there too, he's just too generic for my personal liking. Karai though :P, I know I requested her before she was confirmed:P.

I was baffled too about Rabbid getting votes, but no its just the way the page is laid out, Rabbid rightly has 0 votes. Bebop has 6, Rocksteady has 7.
