Here are characters that I want to see in the next big Driver game. If they didn't exist in the Driver series yet, I just put in "Look-a-likes". You all should know the first two already.
Tanner (playable character):

Tobias Jones:
http://planet-driver.gamigo.de/uploads/inline/d3_jones.gif
He's your main partner in crime, refer to his bios from Drivers 2&3 for more.
Agent Thomas:
http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/d/d9/250px-Dangle911.PNG
Agent Thomas is part of the FBI, and he'll help you out with undercover missions in Nevada and California, and is attached to the Las Vegas Police Department.
Eugene "Geenie" Jefferson:
http://www.theage.com.au/ffxImage/urlpicture_id_1057179204136_2003/07/05/06n_barry_white.jpg
Eugene is a real "Ladies Man". He owns numerous night clubs across many american cities. People say he's a big "Barry White Looking Gorilla" because he looks and sounds just like him. He isn't guilty of any crimes, but he's good friends with Tanner and Jones since they visit his night clubs on friday nights. In case if there's any trouble, he'll give you a call.
Michael McCormick:
http://www.udel.edu/BCC/images/past/ringo_starr.jpg
Michael is from England. One of his ancestors was a redcoat in the Revolutionary War. He believes that the United States should be part of the United Kingdom, and will get his so-called "Revenge" by trying to kill politicians, cops, FBI agents, etc. He and his men must be stopped.
Vic Jackson:
http://www.vh1.com/shared/media/news/images/j/Jagger_Mick/mick_jagger_180x180.jpg
Vic is another Britt. And he had an ancestor that was killed in the Revolutionary War that was in the British Army (like Mike). Vic is Mike's right-hand man and will do whatever Mike tells him to do.
Dizzy Wildman:
http://www.seinfeld-fan.net/pictures/kramer/kramer026.jpg
Dizzy is a pimp from Hollywood. He's rich, has an unlimited amount of girls, owns really hot cars, and loves the "White Stuff". Just the kind of guy that law enforcers want to stop in major cities.
So, what do you think? Are these characters just right for the next big Driver game? And what characters do you want to have? Please, no flaming, fighting, or arguing. I will report those who can't cooperate with eachother. Thank you.

I'd want people with both evil and good personalities found within the next Driver game. As an example of a good personality, Tanner and Tobias Jones should be a few of those people while those with bad personalities could be the bad guys and should follow the personalities of those criminals from the past Driver games (Jericho, Caine, Vasquez, Lenny, Castaldi, etc.)

I'm sorry, but Calita turns me off. I don't think she's hot. I think the hottest looking chick in the Driver series is Chen-Chi from Driver 76. But she's not the hottest woman I've seen.

If we are allowed to create our own character, I'd like a lead character that resembles Blade, with a black muscle car and access to sportbikes.
For the Driver theme, I'd like to see a Dirty Harry like character.

When I look at a new approach for the Driver series, I have to say that it would be the wisest thing for Reflections to bring in new characters rather than have any old ones return, especially if you have plenty of driving careers to choose from in the game than just being an undercover cop and if you are able to create your own character.

I don't think there will be a bad guy that was as bad as Jericho...

I don't know, we could probably have a real badass of a character. They should have TK again in the next Driver game, not as the playable character, but a character you need to kill.

When playing your career in the law enforcement or even as a gangster, you should be able to see a lot of different people who are dangerous. This would definitely be one of the only times that you'd ever see a dangerous person in the game, but you'd still be able to see crimes happening and bad citizens in the city at whatever career it is that you are doing.

Your career concept definitely would bring a new meaning to a "Living, breathing city", as you'd no longer be restricted to life as a gangster. They'd still exist in the game, but if the player chose a career in Stunt Driving, Demolition Derby Driver, Racing or 18 Wheeler Driver, there's definitely less chance to be affected by the criminals compared to the career of a cop, gangster.

I know and that's the great thing about it. If the free-roam game is always seen in the lines of GTA and the old Driver games, I think that the ideas will not go very far and leave the genre behind those other very big and popular genres of today, so in this case, going with a concept like this would be one of the best choices to make in advancing the way that players are given a large variety of different things to do.

I really dont care who we get for a charcter. I would perfure tanner back cause remember in Driv3r they left us with him on the hospital table and then blank? I think they should add on to it.

Did you ever played Driver Vegas?

No. Tanner is already history after screwing up the franchise in D3 and we don't need to move backwards because that will only limit our freedom more. The best way for Reflections to make the Driver franchise grow more strong is for it to take a new approach, which is by getting the ability to create your own character (be it man or woman), choose from a large selection of driving careers to do (with them having storylines and missions, not being side missions, the most complete on-foot experience that we have seen possible in GTA:SA or even GTA IV, and Film Director as well as more vehicles than ever for you to have. Also, since you would be able to create your own character, there would be no need for Tanner and the others to return, especially since the Undercover career wouldn't be the main one anymore because of the many others that would exist along with it.

I support the "Create a Character" idea. So if you wish to make yourself look like Tanner, TK, Ray, yourself, or even big foot, you can go ahead and do so.

Yes, you're right, Driverman2006. We can create Tanner, TK, or an existing character from the Driver series with all the customization features of what you need for creating your own character, so this would allow for a lot more than just a character that you're forced in to playing as and not to mention, the Multiple Career concept would really fit in and so would the online play (you don't want to see everyone playing as either Tanner or T.K., including yourself, do you?)

I could change my character at any time if I wanted to. Whether if it's by career, or if I'm bored. I'd make my character look like Tanner, but wearing TK's 2006 outfit for most of the time, this would look cool in my opinion.

This is a way of collaboration, which is having the game developer, Reflections, for instance, be the co-author of the game while we, the players can make our own character and visit a world of a great deal of exploration and different game play that is there for the taking. Rockstar North's GTA IV will certainly make good use of the collaboration of what a game needs to have its players be able to do and so, I'm hoping that Reflections' next Driver game can do the same.

They could offer their own characters including Tanner if they want to bring him back, but they should also offer new characters, and most importantly, a "create a character" option for any mission, mode or career.

I said that Tanner could possibly be an unlockable and not to mention that many people would be glad to see him back, but the create-a-character option, too, definitely needs to be seen in future Driver games.

Create a Character, we could create a Tanner look-a-like.

Hello this is Slayer_591's friend.
Personaly,I really do want a different main character. And really think the Create a Character is a great idea. It seems as if Tanner is forever dead now and TK just sucked in my view.

I like create a character like in the Tony Hawk games. Also if the game is in New York again It would be funny if you could see characters from Seinfeld walking around. Also I'd like to see tanner again with WAY better animations and without grunting when he jumped.

You're absolutely right, InsaneDriver06. The create-a-character option should be the only option and that's also how we can create existing characters from the past Driver games, much like Tanner and Jones, but this time, through how we view them, so they wouldn't look necessarily like in D3, they would look according to what we added and made for them to have. Also, we should be able to give our created character a name because it would make no sense to play as a character, but not be called by your name.

Yes, as many create a character options as possible, so if you want a "Tanner", it's possible, along with any other character you could imagine. One great thing about DPL's "Body Snatchers" cheat, is it lets you be ANY Pedestrian on the street, which is great for changing the mood of the game.
And yes, THUG (tony hawk underground) did have some great create a character options.

Now, if you think about it, we don't really need any option to turn into a pedestrian because with a create-a-character option, it'd be possible to create someone in many different ways that having yourself turn into an existing person in the game would not very much be a feature that you will care of, rendering it pretty much useless. And since vehicles will be very much customized and having the need of becoming taken care of, it will feel like we're building them ourselves. Hell, if Reflections makes this possible for the next Driver game, the next step for pushing this feature forward to make players create their own vehicles from scratch, much like the thought of having modding capabilities available to players, so it will allow for many different things to be done. As one of the first steps to give a gift of modding and bringing it to a Driver game, we should have the ability to build vehicles from scratch and customize them as much as possible while also needing to handle them and take care of them (washing them, fixing them, etc.) as much as possible to keep them alive and working.

I like the idea of creating your own vehicle from the start of the game, and improving it over time to become a "beast of a car", or an "@ss-kicking sportbike", truck, van, etc.

I think they should make a new playable charector. (See my post in Driver 2007 for my ideal story) Also I think Vasquez, Caine, Tanner, Jericho, TK, And Corrigan could appear ahhhh never thought of that did you lol.

That create your own car feature is making me think of that autosculpt feature in Need For Speed Carbon.I loved that feature and maybe it can in the next Driver.

Yeah guys! I have to say, I do like this create-a-character option. Both the Godfather and Tony Hawk have it.
Now here's a cool idea, I'm not sure if it's mentioned yet. Ready? They should have the multiple career feature as the core part of the gameplay, each career will have its own storylines and will have many different kinds off characters. These characters include you, cabbies, truck drivers, race car drivers, military personell, repo men, cops, criminals, railroad workers, pilots, baggage handlers, doctors, firefighters, chauffers, bus drivers, and waaaaayyyyy more. Like this idea?

Create a charector mode could mean that the mind blowing graphics we are used to could be compromised.
