View Full Version : Game not running smooth!?!?

Whenever I click on the button for the news update or captains log while@sea, it takes literally 2-3 minutes to open, and if i want to switch to a different tab, it takes just as long. Also, when using compressed time, it runs real bad to where, i only use compressed time up to 1024. WTF? I was running with high graphics, now im using medium, didn't seem like a problem until i patched my game.
Intel C2D E6600 2.4
2 Gigs RAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
2x320 GIG, 7200.1 Seagate w/ perp. recording
ATI 1900 xtx 512 RAM
Whats the problem with this game?

Also got same problem. Seems as if it get longer and longer to open the radio message tab as the patrol goes on. Starts off fine, then gets slower and slower, late on in a patrol causes hang for 4 or 5 minutes before showing the messages.
Mouse cursor doesn't move, game time freezes, and get whatever noise is playing at the time looping. Managed to ALT-Tab to Task Manager, could see game was using 100% CPU during hang.
Can use captains log, and objectives tabs ok, but any attempt to switch to radio messages causes it to hang while it opens.
Same results when using the M key as well as the on screen buttons.
XP home, AMD Athlon 64, 3400+ (2.19Ghz)
1 Gig Ram
ATI X1650 512Ram

PCI-16 ATI 600 Pro card...
got a Sapphire (Radeon) 1650Pro enroute just in case that helps.

Same here. cept after about the 3rd time i can no longer see task manager and have to manulally restart my comp, very annoying.

Had the same problem until I installed RamSaver Pro.
Seems flushing/defragging memory periodically did the trick.

Many games now are coded by running heavy code generator but devs cant look deep inside the code cause lack of understanding or lack of time to read their proper code (?) ... its the new coding generation .. use objects, matrix of object but cant look inside a simple adress code who is taken and has not been flushed ....
after a new .. do a flush .. simple nope ?

Yea i seen your thread and i was thinking glad that doesnt happen to me!! But on my last mission wham started taking longer and longer. Saved Mission and re-booted still same prob.
