U-199€s complement was 61. This consisted of:



1 Captain

3 Officers of the watch

2 Engineer Officers

1 Surgeon

2 midshipmen

19 seamen and torpedomen personnel

4 Radio personnel

28 engine-room personnel

1 Hospital Corpsman.
