Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands PC Stuck Bug

This is how it all started. It's near the begginning. I'm at the part where there is this Tauro knocking buildings and towers over. By the time I get inside, the Tauro charges in through the front door. I kill his army and the Tauro. The Tauro then destroys a wall that reveals a hidden switch before he dies. I run up the switch, jump off the wall and run up to the next area to exit. The next area is where the rolling spikes are. I died midway here. When I respawned, I respawned right outside with the door closed on me. I cannot jump down because it's too high and I will die. The switch is at the bottom where I killed the Tauro. If I cannot get down to hit the switch, then how do I open the door again? Someone Please help. Thanks.

There's no way to pass for now , it's at the beginning of the game , so just start a new game and hope that you won't die again . That's the only solution , useless IMO because you will be stuck at the end of the game because a door doesn't open whatever you do , same as me.

Thx. Btw, is there a way to backup the save file somewhere? Just in case I do die there again? I don't want to the same to happen again to me twice. This time I'm going to activate stone armor so I can just run through most of it. I hope!
