Graphical glitch! Sparkling textures =(

I bought this game yesterday, and on any level I try to play, most of the textures, if not all have 'sparkling' white specks on them. It is a very hard problem to describe. I took the game back thinking it could be a bad disc perhaps, and I got a new copy, with the same exact problem. All my other games work fine on the console, so I don't think it's that.

I took two pictures with a digital camera to show you what I mean. Some of it is a little blurry, but those white specks on the pictures 'sparkle' and this is on most textures, 90% of the time; walls..

If anyone can help me in ANY way, or even if this is happening to you, than at least i'm not alone and it can be patched. Looking forward to responses.

What kind of TV do you have? And what resolution are you running the game on? First of all the first thing you should do is change the PS3 resolution to 720p, if it's on 1080i or 1080p that might cause graphical problems with this game that are inevitable at this stage in time. Secondly let me know your TV brand but the most I can tell you is you need to set ur game on 720p.

I'm sorry I forgot to mention that I do force my TV to run the game at 720p. It exists at 720p and 1080i/p, but at 480 resolution is it barely noticeable, which is odd.

My TV is a 37" 1080p Sharp television.

if it helps, on 480i, it doesn't look AS bad, but still noticeable. Any help i appreciate.
