I have not run this game for 6 months but i just upgraded my video card so I say, what the hell, lets see how FC2 runs. I see there is a patch (the autoinstaller for patch did not work, suprise..., had to do it manually).

So I go online, ranked servers, there is about 12 people willing to play on 10 different servers. Typical wait times must be about 3 hours.

No matter what, I will not spend a dollar on ubi games. No matter what.

1. SecuRom isn't necessary after 1.03
2. Ranked matches are tricky to join. You need to refresh the map list a few times because people are playing. Wait for the matches to end and then find where they go. I can usually host a ranked match and be g2g within 5-10 minutes with a full server if it's not 3 in the morning...
3. 1.03 install worked fine for me.

I've noticed too that the patch did not boost player community. There's still the same 60 or so people that play the game all on different days of the week at different times of day. I have to agree with leckig on this one. This patch would have reeled them in if it had only come 4 months sooner.
I think that HC mode is the Cat's 4$$. For once u can now use the foliage to stalk without accidentally scanning a nametag or getting scanned.
