Minotaurs - give back our brave barbaric warriors!

I voted for them being great, because to me they look pretty **** scary. If I saw one of those things coming at me, I would probably just have a heart attack and die.

On a side note, that minotaur from Heroes 1 was pathetic looking. Who would be scared of that?

The minotaurs of H5 finally look as minotaurs should look. they shouldn't have any armor instead they have to reveal their freaking muscular body and powerful hands. look at he's face! he's just scary! I would lose the nipple rings though, that's just stupid...

I say they run with it for now. They could always use a minotaur up-rising against their Dark Elven masters/mistresses as a sub-plot in a future expansion/new game.

In the M&M world, Minotaurs were created by Warlocks just like Beholders so it makes sense for them to be slaves.

Which means that I'm ok with their level and alignment, but I'm not really ok with those nipple-rings. That's a pretty obvious sexual symbol. They could have made them slaves, by placing a hook in their snout, but not through their nipples, which makes them not just any kind of slaves, but some kind of sexual slaves.

I know sex sells, but developers should also think about the rating. Hereos is already not anymore a game for all age groups. I don't like what's happening with the games these days. I remember 5 years ago we were complaining that games don't have the gameplay they used to have, and developers are more investing in graphics than good gameplay. Well, this trend is taken a little further nowadays. Now they also invest in sex (to compensate for the other elements that lack in the game), beacause it's the cheapest type of investement. This might increase sells, but also diminish the value of the game.

I'm a big Minotaur fan, but I don't mind thier current form. Lets face it the Minotaurs and the Dark Elves would not share the Dungeon. So while a Minotaur town with Dark Elf slaves would have been cool, I overall realy like the dungeon.

You know now now that I think about it the, the Minotaurs wear just as much clothes as the female Dark Elves so maybe their not really slaves thier just into S and M.


BTW has anyone read the Dragonlance Minotaur novels by Richard Knaak thier really great but there is no bondage.

1. I don't see sex everywhere, just when the chicks are too unrealistically undressed when they go too war - it's like they are doing their best to be as vulnerable as possible. 3. Of course I have no problem with Pit Lord's whip. It's first of all a weapon, and also a symbol associated with demons sometimes, so it fits them very well. The fact that in modern times (also before, but very rare) is more associated with a sex toy than a weapon it's another story. But basically is weapon. Pearcing the nipples on the other hand is not a symbol of slavery. As you've also said, some are doing it just to show how "men" they are. But not in a war situation, as you're trying to say, but still in a light sexual way (macho). But if you put nipple-piercing and slavery together, you don't start thinking of the middle ages slaves (or any of the ones before). Slaves used to have chains around their wrists, their neck, their ankles. No, nipple piercing slaves are only in BDSM (and before you jump to conclusions, I happen to be a sociologist, so it is my job to know everyting that going on in the minds of people, no matter how extreme or weird they are, so including this kind of stuff also). Besides that I agree with znork, I think that we must not forget that this is a game, so let out the realistic aspect of the game. It's pure fantasy not real life.

You really should take a look at the screenshot Dungeon # 7! I looked at it AFTER my inital post and I really couldn't believe my eyes because there IS a stack of domina-style female Dark Elves right beside the stack of Minotaurs. And guess what? They have a biiiig whip!
It actually may be that Nival wants to give us adults something to think about!

Well, they do look like some domina-style female, especially with those shoes - but that makes me wonder, how's that (the shoes) going to help them in being more efficient in battle?

Speaking of Heroes I - that minotaur was along with purple dragons - that game wasn't scary actually. But there the minotaurs weren't ugly, at least. Here, they are ugly. I don't mind open minotaurs - but that hair on their, er... particular places is useless. They can wear a typical cloth there, like orcs in most games. And, speaking of musceles - I never said about them wearing heavy armor, but just light armor, as barbarians do. Why can't minotaurs and elves share dungeon? They would be perfect allies. If the elves are not idiots. What I don't like most is that minotaurs are completely different from the former minotaurs. You say in M&M world - is Heroes I-II-III-IV not M&M world? I hate piersing, for one thing, sexual or not, it is ugly. I don't like minotaurs wearing mouth coverers, I don't like their horns, and their hair does remind of a goat. IMHO.
