hi gang,

We are all heated. The gang is stressed, Ubi is getting upset, this is not a good situation. I understand that we are getting anxious b/c it is getting close to release, but we need to show some respect. Ubi is working on some pretty intense titles right now,(Splitter Cell), as well as RS2. They are under the gun and we should be thankful they tried to accomodate us with a custom chat thread. Thank you again BTOG46. On the same token, almost 50 days is a bit crazy for an upcoming update. I know it is probably crazy busy at Ubi right now, but it only takes a minute or two to let the fans know a minor update. Even a sentence or two that is all we want. Please pass this on to the RS2 group BTOG46. Also tell them to stay strong, it is almost done http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif. Peace http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

I believe that Splinter Cell has been finished for a while, but they are busy working on other titles as well. That doesn't really provide a good excuse for absolutely no communication from Wuzzi without any warning. I just hope things turn around soon.

Making myself be "The Big Bad Threadlocking Mod" seems to have worked, all I was doing was getting you to focus your understandable anger on me, and give Ubi_Wuzzi enough time to give you an update.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

It's a shame you had to get caught up in the mess BTO. Some of us really do appreciate you trying to control the situation.

What's there to be brave about? I'm used to far worse than you lot threw at me, you should see the hate mail I get sometimes... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

plus, I've been shot at a few times, and words on a forum, just aren't the same as hearing a bullet go whizzing past your ear for real

I see how it works. BTOG46 gets all the hate by becoming a scapegoat on the forum. Then as the hate subsides he earns our respect and admiration for being awesome. Good plan and good execution.

Being new to the forum, and reflecting on some of the old posts has made me realize a few things.

The questions that I have about the pre-order stuff and what not will probably not be answered anytime soon.

Also, wow some of you guys are hardcore about this RS2. I had no idea that most of you have been waiting front row for up to a year now on this sight.

11991,Fender,Burito and myself are some of the old members from early on. Some are even older and have been on the forum since it open. That shows how amped we are for this game

We are kinda the reason why there are so many pages of threads.
Who has been on here longer, sayajin4us? Besides moderators and such, of course.

I've been psyched for the game since it was announced! I do admit though, that I was really late in joining these forums http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif. Still, I feel like I've been here a long time waiting anxiously with everyone here. It's a great feeling http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I don't think I was on the forums when people started harassing BTO. Still, if I said anything to make him or anyone upset I'm sorry

lol, as far as I know you didnt. I was reading some of the old posts and dragged this out of the depths. I noticed it and the subject stream was a bit relevant with our pre-order issues. I just dragged it out of the dark to remind us that sometimes updates are not that speedy and has happened like this before.

Yeah, we had like a 50 day information drought from Ubi. It got pretty bad on the forum, but we patched things up afterwards.

memories. That was a tough time. 50 Info drought, fellow members duking it out on the blog, dogs and cats living together...mass hysteria http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif. My question is which is worse: the 50 day info famine or this dreadfully slow countdown to game release w/ no updates on pre-order? discuss http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

And heres the eternal struggle, If I pre-order, I get the special edition and all the goodies which I really want....

BUT pre-ordering garuntees I'll get my copy one day after the ship date of the 23rd... Where if I DONT pre-order I have a 99% chance of getting it ON the ship date of the 23rd....

Grrrrr. Decisions....

Actually knowing the official release date with very little chance of delay isn't near as bad as the Drought of '09. Atleast we have Jason to talk to once in a while via FB.

Ah, same here. I heard of this game a week or two after my birthday (July 24), and I've been anxiously waiting it's arrival since.

When I took a chance and talked to Jay on FB, It felt like I just walked into a diner and chilled out with Sly Stallone. I couldn't believe he actually responded and friended us. That was like a dream come true. If he makes anymore games, I am definitely buying them. He is like the coolest dude ever! The game companies should take a lesson from this. When you reach out to the fans on a personal level, you are 100% guaranteed a sale.

Jason V. is an amazing dude. I feel very honored to have been able to talk with the developer in person. I've never had the chace to do that during the major development of a game I've been excited about. Your words are so true Sayajin! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
