Hi

I just wanna ask

If stencil buffering is needed with the lasest Nvidia cards

Wat is the difernec between on and of stencil buffering ??

I have Nvidia 6800GT from Asus, P4P800Se motherbaord

I ask this because for several days a cant injoy Fb any more ((

meaning i have problems after downlaoding the new DLL at ubi.com ...((( . I did every thing remove -unstalled -installed- even updated my bios new nvidia drivers nothing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif



The funny thing is i have it olny in open GL settings

and not in direct X settings


And if i push to go back to desktop while Il-2 is running

and come back its gone for a while

Its like litle squares like big pixels apearing

And if i am in a cockpit i can see treu it when they apear again those squares http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

**** i think no more Il-2 for me until BOB comes out


I did formated my harddisk because of the love for Il-2 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif But nothing same iseu http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif


i have it only with IL-2 PF+EAP+FB

Not in other

Like Battlefield-2 that game ask for good video card and open GL and good pc and i have not problems with

Stencil buffering is only needed if you want to run perfect mode.

To make sure I understand- I take it that you have formatted your hard drive and then reinstalled il2FB+Aces+PF and have patched to latest ?

If so then check ou this info from readme in 4.02 patch

If you have a computer with a Pentium 4 processor, you may occasionally encounter game lock-ups or crashes to desktop. In order to solve that, copy your il2_core.dll into the il2_corep4.dll (for example, with the following command: \"copy il2_core.dll il2_corep4.dll\"; or, in Windows Explorer, navigate to your sim installation directory, delete the existing il2_corep4.dll, make a copy of the il2_core.dll, and rename the copy to il2_corep4.dll)


if that does not work check out

1) did you reinstall all chipset motherboard drivers after reinstall- I am not an expert at this perhaps steve_V will confirm this

2) have you tried other video drivers? the 81.95 were a good set - see here

3) have you checked your motherboard or graphics for heat ? download and run motherboard monitor

4) check that all your fans are running and free of dust. If you have to clean them then switch off pc and isolate power, then earth yourself before touching anything inside the case.

Make sure that 6800gt has a good power supply and separate voltage from different psu rails
