is there anyway to get sent a free upgrade or use the people on the forum as your Beta testers?

This is the first time in my life that I've felt like working out at the end of the day. I use your shape about 3-4 times a week.
This is a great product but could be so much better with the all of the recommended changes incorporated. it almost makes me wonder if the developers even tried the game before putting on the shelf.
for a person just starting to work out- they CANNOT do the plank, there should be a progression from easy to difficult depending on the results or each workout. but when the camera is not picking up movements correctly (grapevine etc...) and doesn't give you the proper score, then your algorithms to progress won't work properly. it's very very annoying, which is too bad because I love the product.

I just keep hanging on and hoping for an upgrade for current users, PLEASE?

thanks, Sophie

ps. ladies, 80% of weight loss is done through diet and portion control, so if you're not getting results, try tracking all the food and liquids you have each day with an online tracker like www.fitday.com (http://www.fitday.com) or a billion others and see how much you are actually ingesting everyday- you'll be shocked at the hidden calories. read every label, weigh everything, Good Luck

I'm so glad that i'm not the only one who couldnt do the plank. I thought i was such a loser and wondered why i let myself get into such bad shape. I now know how to avoid doing the plank and will go back when i've worked my upper body more. But then, maybe it isnt just me. I will do the plank, i will do the plank, but, i will get stronger first. Yes, they need to work up to that exercise.
Also i found that moving closer or further from the camera on certain exercises, the camera will pick you up. On the shuffle, i just seemed to never get it right. I moved closer, i get terrific every time now, but, if it switches to a jumping jack, i have to move back a bit. Seems that if its my legs it wants to pick up i need to be closer, if my arms are going to go over my head i need to be further....

I too would like an upgrade! Although the routines are great and the cardio does the trick for me, the coaching needs a major overhaul! Counting helps, telling us where we should be feeling "it" also helps us get it right, and the tutorial needs so much more work done to it.

THAT IS NOT A TUTORIAL. It's a repetition of what we are already doing wrong. It should tell you where to point your toes or where your hands should be facing. It should give you options for your fitness level, It should zoom in to areas to emphasize details. Jane Fonda videos where masters at this. Learn from the master. Her routines may not be as good as Your Shape, but her coaching style was perfect!

when you can't do a certain exercise, simply do as much as you can of it and you will gradually get better and better at it.

It's a game, so it's normal not to be able to do everything perfectly or we would all get 100% right away and there would be no challenge.

Also know that these most difficult exercises will help you burn more fat as your body will be more inclined to find energy in your fat reserves to be able to do them. Never continue exercising on a sore muscle though. You will have to stop, but you will eventually be able to continue along and complete that exercise. I know it's frustrating to stop and here Jenny complain http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif .. but we don't want to be injuring ourselves either.

So, when it's to difficult, still give it your best shot and just stop when you can't any more or your muscle is sore and wait for the next exercise.

I usually keep moving around to keep my cardio going though, while waiting.

I Def agree with everyone here! I really like the game so far but doing the yoga and plank! ugh don't get me started. First of all I go to the gym and work out and this game is hard! Its not hard to do the movements in general but for anyone doing this the first time esp someone who hasn't worked out in a while its a real pain. I found myself competing to make sure that my body was positioned right and instead of doing the movements correctly I was more worried about the score I was going to get. And also they don't give u a ounce of time to move into one position to another. Also with the plank pose not for nothing but the instructional video don't u think she should be showing side ways? U cant really tell how to do a yoga movement when all u see is her facing forward and bending down! Another thing that bothers me is that Rhianna music in the beginning and how come there isn't any other music besides the tempo's to pick from? Generally I do like the game. Yes they could of done a lot better and I would love a upgrade also and be a beta tester! There is potential in this game just some tweaks here and there need to be made!

Everyone reading this U should get a high-five just for getting up and moving. Dont worry if the camera isn't picking up ur moves right. Just have fun with it! U can hurt yourself I almost did! The camera cant possibly pick up everything and the score isnt completely accurate.
