I never got around to play the very first one, my first encounter with tenchu was the second one, it blew my mind, maybe it was because I never expected such quality from a game, but it was like getting hit by a truck of awesomeness. the story got me right in the heart, and I just loved the stealth aspect, as well as the stealth kills.

i know what you mean xD i was about 13 when the first one came out and i remember that it gave me a whole new way to look at gaming rather than just ramming through each mission, now i had to strategize and rethink if i made mistakes, so it definatly played a big part in that way
