Today is the anniversary of the death one of the all time greats. Gunther Prien, the Bull of Scapa Flow, died with all hands in the North Atlantic. His greatest achievement, the sinking of the British Battleship Royal Oak.

"Do you think a determined commander could get his boat inside Scapa Flow and attack the enemy’s forces lying there?" He gave Prien 48 hours to look over the accumulated charts, photos, and intelligence and deliver a carefully thought-out estimate.
