more than a feeling i think will get my money, as for smoke on the water, i think anybody who ever learns guitar learns that as their first riff.
we need ironman!!!

All great songs. I recall playing More Than A Feeling and Jessica in one of those Guitar Hero games back in the day. Time to learn them on real guitar now!

I'm still waiting for some more heavy stuff though.. where my metal?! lol

Nice selection. Have played Smoke on the Water and More than a Feeling in RB3 pro mode. Smoke on the Water's solo is pretty fun actually, and it will be so nice to actually play the bends in More than a Feeling. Also lots of great guitar in Jessica - Great overall songs.

I am looking forward to 11/15! Like everyone else, my first riff was Smoke On the Water, but, how many people actually learn the whole song? I hear a LOT of "I know it!" and they only know the main riff.

It's just real nice to see the DLC coming. Now The only people complaining will be the "Moar Metalz" morons. I would LOVE to see them try Slayer for their first song ever. Good luck with that.

Maybe they'll release Reign in Blood as a throwback to Guitar Hero 3. I still remember trying to get through the 'mosh' section of that song - even on 5 button guitar that was tough http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Not every Slayer song is super fast and hard to play. And not every Rocksmith owner is a noob. But I tend to agree that something like Angel of Death is probably something that would want to make a noob throw out his guitar in frustration lol

Of the top of my head, there's tons of metal songs that are appropriate for beginners, stuff like Judas Priest, some Maiden, Dio, Black Sabbath, etc ...

Lot's of the newer metal stuff is pretty simple as well, but I think the tuning is pretty restrictive for Rocksmith.

I'm buying all 3 on the 15th, even if I do not have a chance to learn the songs.
The more we buy = more revenue Rocksmith generates.
More revenue means more songs - and a greater likelihood that people will get the DLC/songs/bass/whatever they are hoping for.

if they sell those songs for $5 then forget it... i really wanted to get more songs and support the game but thats just too much

not a bad start, I am definitely getting jessica
(freaking love Allmans/Top Gear,lol)

But having said that, even though I realize they are probably a lot more work to make than the charts w/ RB3,if they make them too expensive then RS will probably die pretty quick.

So hopefully they won't be too expensive...maybe somewhere around what HMX charges for their DLC+pro charts would be good.

RS is a bit more serious than RB3, but they need to stay somewhat competitve/relevant

Love SotW, does anyone whoever picks up a guitar NOT try to play the main riff? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Most of it is pretty easy, just arpeggiated power chords (can you have arpeggiated power chords? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif)

I always come unstuck at the solo, I might actually get all the way through this time.

Bought all the DLC last night and will buy all these in a couple of weeks.

I love my Sabbath! when I was a teenager, I could play through the whole "Sold Our Soul" disc, except for some solos. And that is great starter metal. But I just get the feeling that those screaming for metal (especially the "Moar Metalz" guys) won't be happy with classic metal.

I would think they guys who enjoy the older metal also enjoy playing the stuff that is out or has been announced. Just seems like kids now just ignore older/ other styles of music. It took my sisters a LONG time to give my bands a shot. Now one of them wants to learn to play, especially after I let her try Rocksmith out!

At $5, my impulse buying is going to be severely impacted. Right or wrong, the general community has seen/accepted $2-$3 as the price for DLC.

Someone from UBI needs to educate us on why there's such a steep increase for RS DLC. Maybe there's a good reason, but until its explained, corporate greed becomes the most rational reasoning.

They're $2.99, not $5. One was listed on the PSN store for $4.99, but it appears to have been a glitch that has since been corrected.

The same song (and all others) were $2.99 on the 360.

Interesting. I bought it last night at $4.99 and haven't seen any refund e-mail come through yet. Regardless, Ubisoft's total radio silence on this is extremely disappointing and disturbing.

Last night, when I looked all the DLC on PSN was 4.99. If they changed it, that's great!

3 more songs for 3 bucks each really??? Are they planning to release these on a pretty quick and regular basis? I've gotta say I dig the game but the songs SUCK! I like all genres of music, heavy metal, doom, sludge, rock, ska, reggae, punk, blues, bluegrass, pretty much anything, but the songs in the game are all so lame and not rockin. There are a few Red Fang (though that is one of their weakest songs), the Stones songs, and maybe a couple of others, must not have been too great if I can't even think of them.

Anyway, the songs in game suck. Give us some better ones or this game is doomed to fail.

Praying Activision will bring out a version to compete with this game, Guitar Hero always had the best set lists.

I'll be getting the next DLC and seeing if I have to be logged in to play it. My PS3 is registered with PSN so there should be no reason to lock out the songs if your internet is down. If that is the case this DLC purchase will be my last.
