ok so i was playing assassinate today and i wasnt doing so well and then i hit a hot streak. i got 9500 and decided to stay with the same lobby. the map was Alhambra, and i was thinking ok not too bad since i dont usually do well there but i like it anyways.
Cut to 4:30 in. I have 9550 points and am in the middle of someone dying from my poison. I don't really have a clue at all how i managed to get 9550 in less than 5 minutes other than i was playing with some bad players or they were all having a bad game because i am not that good. anyways back to the story. right after my poison kills him, THEY ALL LEAVE.
Yea thats right, every single last one of them. They left so fast i was left in the game for 5 seconds just shocked. I don't know how but they all left simultaneously. Anyways this got me really mad because i was doing extremely well only to have it ruined by everyone quitting and sending me hate mail.
Has this happened to anyone else or just me because it seems that whenever i have an outrageously awesome game everyone leaves and my score is invalid and such.

This was much more likely to have been a connection issue. Connection issues will mass disconnect people, but make it appear as if you are still connected to the lobby (you're not).
GF used to run into this issue when playing monster hunter with me. She would see every one in her city (lobby) disconnect. I, on the other screen 5 feet away, would see only her disconnect.

i had a guy ragequit after i stunned him in assassinate... and prepared to kill him.
200(stun) + 150 discreet + 150 focus + 200 hidden + 50 ground + 300 poison = 1050... getting stunned in assassinate is brutal.

I had the same. I did it three times to him and the third time he left just as I was getting a focus grounded kill http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
The focus bar filled just as he left http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Its been makin me mad lately that sprinters are winnin in Assassinate cause they would sprint up to me then lock me and get a 500 point kill.... and its really makin me mad that people smoke bomb stun me then wait for a focus bonus that they dont deserve (yeah im aware that its a video game... but not just any video game.. Assassins Creed! My FAVORITE stealth game!) and poison me then getting them a 1000 point kill. Why cant people be nice like me and just stun someone and run away? I only do the cheap kills when someone does it to me in the lobby im in.

I think if they all left in a realy short space of time it was probably connection.
I played a game of wanted the other day and the same happened to me, then got disconnected myself.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Likely scenario is that you were the host and everyone else timed out due to some network fluke.
Never had that happen to me because I suck lol. I get frustrated from time to time but y'know. It's a game. I just take a break if I need to.

I've had people ragequit because I chose "their" character http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif .
The one guy swore at me before the game even started, then tried to hunt me specifically (it was assassinate) but eventually ragequit when it didn't pan out the way he wanted.
Seriously now. The people playing this game are at least theoretically in their late teens or older. Grow up.

I see people leaving the game half way through all the time. Usually doesn't bother me and I just consider it a victory anyway if they can't stand hanging around.
Did bother me though when I had someone quit on me just after I focused, hidden, poisoned them with a 2x only for it to obviously not count.

I rage quit after the tenth kill and stun from Dragonfang in eight minutes! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
I'm joking of course. Most of the time it's because of lag or particularly when the game gives me impossible contract assignments. Three pursuers in 4th, 5th, 6th etc and contracts miles away but pursuers two feet from my spawn.
Plus as I have an old Xbox it often freezes on me which forces me to leave the game when I can hear the game running but my screen is frozen so it leaves me no choice. I would expect that to look like rage, which is the case but at my own Xbox not the game or players. Roll on the end of this month when I can replace it.

... really? cheap? They're just taking advantage of a mechanic that was put there TO BE USED. Sorry, but if you don't want to do what everyone else is doing and miss out on easy, arguably deserved, points, that's your fault. As for sprinters, look out for them, and lock onto them first. They will either run right into you, immediatly juke the other direction, or randomly throw smoke. One of my favorite parts of Assassinate is that people assume that when they're targeted it's, "OMG they must be right next to me SMOKE BOMB!" Thus, as they're checking everyone in their immediate smoke bomb vicinity, I calmly walk up and stab them in the chest. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I *almost* rq'd tonight. I was having a horrible game in Pienza. I kept hitting the wrong buttons, people were walking through my smoke, etc. I didn't, though, and played one more game.
Got 8400 on Mt. Saint-Michel. Glad I didn't go anywhere.

I've given up on proper rage in Assassin's Creed.
As a result, when I quit, there's good reason behind it.
If a match is lagging so badly it's totally unplayable, and there's more than 4 minutes left, I'll quit. If I'm lagging badly in a team mode, and it's making the other team win, I'll drop out because not being there will help the team more.
Other than that, I'll wait until the end of a match if a lobby is full of annoying players, or glitching badly, then quit between matches.

I rage quit
Lag & to many runners is the only reasons though.
I didnt want to make a new topic about this issue but as a result in it I raged quit a few times today so I thought id put it here.
Is anyone else having problems with abilities today or recently? Im trying to use my abilities that have cooled down but I cant use them. I get the sound it makes when abilities are in cool down. If I die the timer on my ability is still counting down. Only happened today, but to many times.

I've had that happen a fair few times in Assassinate, but only very rarely in other modes.
Most often it happens just after the cooldown has finished, but I've had it randomly a handful of times too.
Also in Assassinate, I once had my Firecrackers go off when I hit the button for my Smoke Bombs.
Usually if it happens, it's because a match is really laggy, and I'll quit at the end, because other things will also have been going wrong to prove that the game isn't really worth the effort of staying in.

I cant edit.
I forgot this. The main reason I wont play teams modes.
Admittedly, I now get stunn locking but I will rage quit if my team mates WILL NOT respawn, If more than 1 poison is stolen, I will stun lock in any mode given the chance now, but I think its wrong that you can win CC & Escort using this method, but IT IS the people who refuse to respawn that are the problem not the people stunning.

I quit games because of my archnemesis. His name is lag.
I think I helped make an entire team ragequit once... they were the coordinated kind, all with mics and always on the same team. They were losing from the start so they all quit at the same time halfway through the second round. I met them again later that night. They lost again.

Sometimes I notice some high ranking players rage-quitting, especially if they don't seem to be getting their way.

I ragequit a lot. Only if the game actually bull****s me though (lag, glitches, or an extremely unlikely run of extremely bad luck). Whether or not this lag/glitches/luck actually pushes me out of first doesn't really factor; I'll quit a game I'm winning if it annoys me.
Also, sometimes I am testing things and want a new lobby or a quick 'reset'.
I'm always on the lookout for people who can provide good competition, so it would be counter-productive for me to leave simply because I am losing.

I'm guilty of the occasional rage quit. Really it's more spite than rage though. Like when in Assassinate the closest player to me is on a roof and I get up there to kill him to be smoked/stunned/killed only to be spawned near him again. I usually go for them a second time but when I get stunned again I'll quit so he can't get his points.
I know I COULD just go for someone else, but just ruining that one kill for that guy makes me feel good.

I only ragequit when I'm getting BSed by lag really hard.
I ragequit 80% of my games. Once Homefront comes out I'm never playing this game again. I am breaking my disc in half and putting it in a ****ing compactor. This game has the worst online connectivity of any game I have ever played or heard of in my life.

SamuraiCasanova ragequit on me 5 seconds before I got my extreme variety + employee of the month the other week. That did sadden me. But I forgive him. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
I do quit a lot but it's not so much rage quitting as boredom quitting, that or I'm protecting my session average.

I hope im wrong but I dont think it will be to long before its the same people playing this game and the rest abandon it completely. It always seems to be the case with my best games. MOH for example. Such a shame that ended the way it did.
It will be because of lag and matchmaking why they do. People expect so much better these days.
I really hope im wrong though.

I rage-quit over lag.
After two sessions of screaming obscenities into my friends ear: following the 4th consecutive, ineffectual smoke bomb; I moved over to Black-Ops http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif (Which, I had forgotten, is even more rage inducing.)
Bring on Shogun 2. My PC doesn't lag...
Since the Pre-DLC TU, the lag has been unbareable; I cannot use smoke-bomb anymore..
I/my team did manage to make an entire team quit once, by co-ordinated roof-running ('Orbiting' San Donato); but then they deserved it...

I only rage quit if the game is literally unplayable due to lag, and sometimes if i'm having a really unlucky match, but that doesn't happen that often.
I get disconnected more than i leave matches, which really irritates me.

++. I honestly never rage quit, but I get disconnected a ton.
I get disconnected frequently in mid-kill (my own death or when I'm killing someone else), so I sometimes wonder if they think I rage-quit.
TBH, it makes me so mad that I want to "rage-join" back into the same game.

This was possibly my Xbox rather than rage as I tend to really enjoy our games but I can't remember so I'll apologize just in case.
Gotta buy a new one as I can't count the times I've been in first place and the screen suddenly freezes but I can hear the game going on in the background. It's my most rage inducing problem atm. (That and lag)

Someone RQd on me last night right after I stunned him. Yeesh, at least let me get the kill points.
I'm finding myself quitting more and more; not because of RQ, but because of lag. I was playing in the Castel last night, and a guy jumped up onto something before I could blink. In Alhambra, I saw two people climbing up a wall. One got stunned and fell... I couldn't kill. The other guy came down (he *flew* down), I locked... no square. For a good 5 seconds. Finally, I was able to poison, but it was a bit ridiculous.

This is me now too! I quit 3 games in a row ( my first four of the night) last night, and all were different modes/players. All hree of the I got killed or stunned by the invisible man. I was beginning to suspect my connection until the rest of the night was pretty smooth.
In another one, Abstergo put me in a game with 25 sec left, I selected my profile, hear the chimes, never even see the city, then return to the profile select screen and the game ends, showing me with one death! grrr

Lol. They didn't all rage quit simultaneously, your connection dropped to the server.
As for rage-quitters... I'm not sure why there's so many on AC. It's probably the most relaxing game I have on XBL. If anything, it makes me rage the least.
If you guys don't know how to compensate for latency by now, you probably should just drop the game.

Easier said than done. The lag in this game seems to affect some players more than others and only periodically during a match. Were it a consistent level of lag throughout then it's possible to compensate a little. With a poison kill or smokebomb/mute etc and particularly naked stun your timing is everything and these things are incredibly difficult to compensate for without a predictable lag rate.
What makes it frustrating is you'll pull off two standard kills then encounter one player you are certain of killing/stunning who just doesn't respond to your offensive/defensive play.
To keep this in the threads line I should say that I can't blame all my rage quits on my old (and soon to be renewed) Xbox. I do rage quit but I tend to rage more at the game rather than other players being better than me. I have (as I'm sure you all have) had nights where the game just doesn't go your way. Contracts miles away but several pursuers mere feet from your spawn. Three contracts close by when you are in 4th or less. And the ever annoying runner/roofer dude in first who the contract system continuously assigns for you to kill even though you are only one of his three pursuers and are way down in 7th.
Then of course you have those games where less than twenty feet from every spawn point you get roofed or poisoned for the first 5 minutes.
These games are usually the type that come in threes and will build my rage to the point I will quit and play either a new room or learn my lesson and play a different game.
Am I wrong to rage quit?
Well from my perspective if the reasons for quitting are the ones above or possibly that I'm just way off form then I feel it's okay.
You are most likely to encounter a better player for the rest of the match. Rather than stay in and take the place of someone who could give you a better challenge (or possibly worse it's luck of the draw) I will back out.
More than this though is the fact that I'm in MY home playing MY console for MY own entertainment. If the game I'm playing stops entertaining me and becomes a fuel for rage then I'm going to turn it off and do something else.
So if I've decided to leave a game due to this or any other inane reason such as to take a **** or **** my girlfriend and it ****es you off then sorry but I just don't give a ****.
