New to SH5 with questions?

Hi all, just bought SH5 after I got my new PC, game runs fine but I have some gameplay issues (player error i think). When targeting a ship from the scope, I fire and my torps just go off in a straight line, despite me not having the manual targeting box highlighted..... and secondly, is there ANY way to give orders to crew other than running around my boat like a loon on PcP?

i had that same prob, you have to lock your target, with the periscope or deck binocs, and u see your mini map, with 3 numbers from your sub and your target.
3: is a far shot (slim chance of hitting target if you're not in front of it and submurged)

2: better change to hit your target

1: close in range

the youtube link helps. but generally IMO, the game sux, graphics are awesome, but the campain modes is so freaking stupid, and ends in 1943. completing multiable objectives is down right insane, like the war supplies ships missions. and others. i liked SH3 better but cant run it on my PC cuz i have Win 7/vista. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/compsmash.gif, its going to take me ALOT of convincing to get SH6 thats if and when they come out with it.

Ihave a brandnew pc with win7 and i run SH3 fine

best way to aim with periscope is aligning your "2" with the targets "2" on tactical map and then firing a salvo. i never miss

Hi all, i just bought SH5, really looking forward to play online. Last SH i played was SH2, so this is a big step forward for me in graphics and everything. No questions for now, i'm still trying to figure out the controls. See you all soon in the open sea. regards!
