Have you guys seen it? It's not written by him, but has his name on it. It's an all new adventure in the middle east. I'm almost done with it and I think it's really good. So I don't get this thread moved because it's not about Chaos Theory I'll say that it's a good way to help pass the time until March. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Ive tooken up a variety of activities to pass the time. Ive played SC and SCPT regularly, getting my stealth skills ready. Ive whatched more sphaghetti westerns from the 60s and onward (Mostly Clint Eastwood) than any 15 year old should watch, and as a result I am playing Red Dead Revolver today. Ive also been reading alot of Mystery, Political thriller, True Crime, stories and have began studying the history of the world as we know it more and more.

I read an excerpt from it, and personally I didn't like the style in which it was written... he says all the facts plain and straight, instead of dropping them in inconspicuously. I've been to a number of writing workshops myself and can see definite work for improvement in the style... plus, it's completely not Sam Fisher's personality, and not really about stealth (at least in the bit I read, which took place in a casino).
But, it does still look like a great book, and it takes a great writer to produce a book like that... I certainly couldn't do any better myself. Plus, it's great for hardcore Splinter Cell fans, and tells them more about the equipment and everything.
So, apart from the small bit of negative feedback (constructive though, not meant to be offensive), I congratulate the author on a brilliant job!
Not that he'd ever see this post, but anyway...

The book is really good.I may decide to read it a second time. But one thing that suprised me is by how much cussing there is in the book.I promise that you will hear every cuss word in that book.

I just finished reading it a few days ago. I really liked it, although the big weapon they had in it seemed a little too James Bondish to me.

Well the author did do the scripts for bond movies(or something related to bond).

i agree with tfrogs and stealthmater, i'm reading it too and i think sam's personality could have been portrayed a bit better than it was. the amount of cussing is quite noticable, and correct me if im mistaken, but does anyone think the author is trying to copy tom clancy's style?

btw, i'm new, but ive posted once or twice posing as my brother c_f_logan, so if i sound stupid, dont flame me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Well look at that. Two threads about the book within a couple days of each other. I don't why the ten or so guys on the other thread didn't post on mine. It's not a big deal, I'm just saying.

I think the book DOES portray Sam's personality pretty well. Also, do you think having Sarah involved so much with the story is a good thing or not? I beleive she should just be mentioned a little bit like in the games. You don't hear much about other game character's families in the story and if you did doesn't really add that much. The author could have wrote more stuff between the lines because it seemed like an awfully fast read.

I agree with him as I've said in my posts about the book, I had the same take on it. it really doesnt sound like fisher he could have done better on that point but it is still an overall good book. but wasnt impressed with some of the writing style.

as I've said in my thread on this subject it could have been better if clancy wrote it himself.
