One of my Squaddies has a problem with the format on his computer:
>>>
S! Gents
I was wondering if anyone here is running Windows7 Beta RC1 as their gaming machine for IL2. I think i heard a flyer was doing it on this squadron or I might be thinking of someone during radio chatter while on HL.
BTW Windows7 is great so far. Runs IL2 great but my issue is with Widescreen support.
I have the game setup properly but have black bars on either side of my gaming window.
When I had this running on the same laptop in XP, i would get full image width in game.
My install still defaults to not being widescreen. all the changes are apparent in my conf.ini file.
now could there be an issue with my game because
1. I am using a Steam version of ILS?
2. Do the conf.ini change when running using version switcher?
Thanks

Saying it is set up correctly and showing us the conf.ini proving it is are two different things http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif. I'm pretty sure he forgot to set SaveAspect=0...

Installed Windows 7 on a second harddrive and installed IL2 on there also with it so i got 2 installes now of IL2, one under Vista 64 bit and one under Windows 7 64 bit, copies my conf.ini from Vista to Windows 7 and it works.

Well I've got the same problem as buzzsaw and I've set the SaveAspect=0
And in XP it runs fine in widescreen.
