As most of us now know, SC6 is in production so I just want to say to the devs goodluck and don't disappoint us... again!


To the matter at hand, here is the man that needs to return. The JB rip off can ping off. We (the Fans) don't want Jasock Bauernd, we want Sam Fisher.

For me this render describes everything Sam Fisher and Splinter Cell is and needs to be: the atmosphere, the gadgets, the character, the suit and the GOGGLES.

I think, that big money from casual gamers from Conviction are more loudly than some group of die hard fans, but this is much better than some idiotic threads about Conviction in past, because it was too late to change anything... Now it's time to overspam whole forum with topics like this and SC6 will be better also for ultra-stealth fans...

ive lost all hope that SC is ever gonna be the same again. theyre not gonna scrap everything they did in conviction even though almost everything was bad (they can keep taking cover but thats all).

but well, what do i want back?

- realism. sam is a man not a super-hero. he can only take on armies of baddies by being stealthy and getting intel.
- deep stealth with different layers of difficulty and gameplay, where the stealthiest gets the most reward while actiony only feels like the last option.
- political story, not "family-man sam". i loved him as a cynical soldier with morals who left his comment here and there. i wouldnt mind single missions who show sams character or his past, but it doesnt have to be a whole game.
- spy versus merc - and please take a damn lot of time to balance
- sc20k
- am, i gonna start talking about everything they should get rid of? well, action focus, mark and execute (too much superhero), lkp (stupid), projected text (destroys immersion), stupid ai (rather improve their tactical behaviour), cheesy story and dialogue, the almost auto-headshots... etc etc etc

I don't understand where the publisher have this attitude. They have sold more copies of the hardcore games of Splinter Cell then of the "Casual". I don't consider Conviction as a Casual game in all aspect because they have done alot of things right. Though the shallowness of Stealth is one big contra point and also the AI searching with their lights in well-lit area such as the end of the airfield mission. You should be able to interrogate guys without knowing them who you are. So like in the previous games from behind.

Basically they're failing to attract the casual crowd, but are screwing over their loyal fan base. what are they accomplishing?

And now, most of the loyal fan base is probably not going to buy the next game. In my opinion, if they mess up SvM, then the franchise is pretty much over. I don't mean to sound melodramatic about that..just my opinion.

Yeah, but the goggles in Conviction don't right. I mean we've got sonar which gives you batman's detective vision which works as he is a comic book character. And the other character's goggles look really laughable since some don't even have sights that are near the eye, lol.

Man those pictures take me back to the good times and good ol days, when i bought my copy of Pandora Tomorrow, Chaos Theory, and when i first started playing the games i was hooked and fell in love with the franchise.

Conviction didn't have that effect on me i just bought it played it for a week or two and i was done with it.

It just feels like i lost all faith in the Splinter Cell franchise, especially when BELAND is involved.

God I hope so. Once I finish with the GOD AWFUL last stand modes I think I'll rarely play Conviction. It just doesn't have the replayability. Or the real Sam Fisher.

I'm feeling nostalgic looking at this page. I think I'll go play Chaos Theory...
