BA PC Error

I am getting this message and dont understand what it means ???

MainR.exe - Unable To Locate Component

This application has failed to start because X3DAUDIO1_0.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

you must install DirectX Update from your game DVD, than you have no problems!

Will give that a shot but generally I dont keep re-installing the same directx.
