View Full Version : rainbow six vegas will not be for xbox?
11-21-2006, 08:17 PM
Rainbow Six Vegas is firing its first shots today, as the Xbox 360 version of the game is now on store shelves. However, backup in the form of PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, and PC versions of the game isn't coming along as planned.
PC gamers looking for a little post-Thanksgiving counterterrorism will have to wait a few weeks longer than expected. Once slated for a November 28 release, Rainbow Six Vegas for the PC is now due in stores on December 12.

This is one game I will not buy without a definitive demo.
There are too many unknown variables involving technical (hardware/software) aspects and game play (TPV; linear, scripted maps) elements for me at this point in time.

The longer...the better. They can release at the end of 2007 for all I care, if they should plan it to be DX10 compatible. Now that's wishful thinking.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

the sad thing is that the fact it's delayed doesnt meen it will be better than the 360 version.
<b style="color:black;background-color:#a0ffff">ubi[/b] aims at making the PC as close to the 360 version MINUS a few things they wont reveal.
meaning - this game will be almost as good as the 360 at best. dont expect for anything different for the better.
i even would count on better GFX

I have the 360 version and there seems to be no lean function at all. I guess its been replaced by the 3rd person view wall hug thingy.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

IF you hold the left trigger to "wall hug"
use your movement "stick" to move to the edge of wall/whatever. while holding the trigger it will let you lean out around the corner, letting you use your scope to aim. The 360 version is very well done and very fun. We'll get the PC version soon enough.
