First of all, seems like there's nothing "limited" about them - to me, they seem just as easily accessable as the regularly priced versions.

I think the only LE game I've purchased was Halo 2. I admit that I did watch some of the special features, and was disappointed because I thought there was supposed to be a Red vs Blue episode on there.

I dunno. I guess I'm not the type of guy who really watches the special commentary on DVDs, so the prospect of getting 'behind-the-scenes' stuff for games doesn't really appeal to me too much. Especially when it means paying an extra $10-15. At least on most DVDs, the special features are included with the regular DVD (George Lucas notwithstanding).

I usually always buy the LE or CE versions. I only buy the games I really want, and an extra $10 isn't a big deal to me when it comes with a nicer case, and some extra stuff. Yes, I'm materialistic.

The Prey CE came with a free download of half the soundtrack (It's a 2 and some hour soundtrack), which was the selling point for me. I would like to see soundtracks coming packaged with LEs and CEs as a standard, as I <3 soundtracks.

I buy the LE/CE versions of games I really like/am looking forward to... and the ones with really sweet cases.

Life would be less sweet if I didn't have the septium coin, or the History of Tamriel book that came with Oblivion LE. I only buy the LE games that I have a history with.

SC DA is LE worthy, as is Halo3. So by that definition, GoW will not be a LE purchase for me.

I'll usually buy them when possible as I liked the behind the scenes stuff.

I've only ever purchased 3 games that have had LE versions (Halo 2, Oblivion & PDZ) and I got the LE version of two of them. I would've picked up the LE of Perfect Dark Zero but they didn't have one available when I got my copy.

If I end up getting SC: DA, I'll probably pick up the LE version if I can. However, I must say, I have no intention of getting the LE version of my most anticipated game of the fall as I don't feel the extra $10 is worth what they're offering for the LE version of SvR07 (a trivia book & the third disc of the history of the WWE championship DVD, plus the obligatory metal case).

I usually get the CE or LE of games that I'm after. I guess I'm like most and just enjoy the extras they come with. I think some of the best Collector's Editions I've purchased would have to be, WarCraft III and Guild Wars. They came with so many great things. Including, soundtracks, Art Books, Headsets and so on.

I've also got the LE's of Halo 2, SC:CT and PDZ(Yeah what a waste that was http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif). I'll probably be doing the same for Double Agent and Gears of War.

As I said, the little extra they cost doesn't bother me and I like the additional content.

I don't buy anything LE. I buy the game to play it. Half the time I don't even read the instructions.

I bought the CE version of Chaos Theory and Halo 2, but the difference then was only $5.

$70 for a game, just for a shiny case, seems a bit pricey. If more CEs were like the Oblivion CE, with actualy useful extras, then it might be worth the money.

I think the only LE version I've seen that was worth it was for Jade Empire, because it came with actual game content you wouldn't get with the regular version.

That being said, I enjoy my silver Halo box.

The only time I consider buying a LE game(like everyone else said) is when its a game I really want (FF XII) or its got a really nice box that makes me go "damn, thats a nice box".

Idk i like buying things that are LE or CE it's usually about the cool looking case for me i <3 having cool looking cases.

I would have to say the most "worth it" LE or CE i ever got was the Elder scrolls nothing has topped that yet

Only games that deserve it (such as Halo 2 LCE). Sims 2 and Guild Wars weren't worthy of it.

i am an LE sucker... i hate having a regular edition, then finding out about the limited collector's edition of anything, games, DVDs, comix, shoes... whatev. if it's got foil on it or a special commentary by the director's father-in-law, it's worth the extra 10 bucks... wait, im just a sucker.

--Yes, I DO have the 10-disc Matrix Collector's Set with the booklet and bust statue of Neo. Damn skippy, too.
