Unsincable Japanese sub??

The other day i managed to sneak pass into a Jap port and i found docked a Japanese sub!I cant remember the type,but the thing is i fired 5 torps against it,all of them hit it but the thing was not destroyed!After a while it quietly sumberged and i lost it from the map!!Any ideas?

I have "sunk" two subs. A mini sub and an I-400.

I didn't get credit either (stock 1.5) But it was fun, and I know I sank them in spite of what the game said. I zoomed in and saw the holes in their sides.
