Seen any Capital ships?

I was wondering if anyone has encountered any capital ships with out any mods? I mean there are a lot more ships moving on the ocean than DD and merchants.

In my career so far (I am up to summer '44)I have seen several task forces on the map and actually got withing visual distance of 3 of them. One of them had a carrier and serval DDs I had on stern torp left in my VIIC and popped a desperation shot at the CV from about 7000meters (and missed) I never got closer then about 6500 when they started pulling away. I ran into another with a Nelson BB and several DDs and sank the Nelson and a DD. The other one I saw just seemed to have only DDs didn't see a cruiser or anything in it, but it was dark and rainy.

Taskforce ran over me 26.10.40. Dido, escorted by 4 DDs. Got taskforce report on my last patrol, but they were moving in wrong direction.

In WWII 13 over 4000 tonn warships were sunk by U-boots. I think, I have done my share.

I've seen a few now. I've seen a Nelson class with abtou 6 DDs (=destroyers) heading east, northwest of Scotland (1939). I've seen two light cruisers (without DDs) doing the same (1940). Also, I've spotted an auxiliary carrier and a handfull of DDs moving north, between Wales and Ireland (1943).

I have edited each group and single ships in the SCR and RND.mis files so I can safely tell you the devs did not place any heavy warships in the comvoys. This, unfortunately, is not accurate.
At the end of 1940 and early 1941 the Brits but battleships and cruisers and even carriers within the convoys because of german surface raiders; Adm Acheer, Adm Hipper, Scharnhorst and Gneisenau were a serious threat to allied shipping but the raiders were ordered to stay clear of convoys with battleships to avoid damage that could disable and doom them. On one occasion when the twins came across a convoy with a Royal Soverign class they hung back and directed U-boats. Wouldn't that be cool to be able to run back to those bad boys for protection from destroyers? You want some of thos????? I am right over hear mister tough gut C-Class!!!!! You got 4.7 inch? My main man her has 700 poundd shells to greet you with.

I added battleships, cruisers and aux cruisers to the convoys I knew had them (50% chance in each case)
I have been testing the new files with RUB 1.3 and this is the second convoy to have a battleship in 11 patrols. I put one in him and left the area. I spent a long time working around the convoy (three times!!!) before I finally got position again. I dumped all four of my fish into him, they all hit and now I wany those girls back in port to throw more than roses my way!!! LOL
