Hi,

I just wanted to ask, that how difficult it is to use this SDK; do I need some special skills to make my own maps with it? Are there ready-to-use objects which you can put into the map, like Mg42â´s, or houses?

Greetings,

PeterG

If you want to create new single player or multiplayer maps, you will need to be familiar with UnrealEd. There are many good UnrealEd tutorial sites that can help you learn how to use this level editor (try a google.com search on "unrealed tutorial").

All of the assets that appear in the single player and multiplayer missions (houses, trees, walls, woodpiles, crashed gliders, etc.) are available to be used in new maps. If you have the game installed, you have all of these assets already. The UnrealEd level editor allows you to browse through the packages that contain these assets and you can pick and choose which ones you want to place in your own maps.

other than making our own maps, will it also be possible to edit the maps made by the developers? so for example: if i wanted to add a bunch of boxes or a fence to a map like vierville, would i be able to? and if we can edit the mission maps, will we be able to move objects around?

thanks in advance http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Yes. All of the single player and multiplayer maps that are included with the game can be modified by the UnrealEd level editor.

You can add or remove houses, hedgerows, and other cover objects. You can change the location where enemys spawn from or change the locations of where they take cover.
