When I try to host a dogfight for my squad's practice it's a coin toss whether any particular player will be able to join. A guy who was able to join a few days ago may not be able to join this time, and if anybody can get in, he'll be the only one who can.
[NET]
speed=100000
routeChannels=0
serverChannels=31
localPort=21000
remotePort=21000
SkinDownload=1
serverName=Practice
serverDescription=
remoteHost=
localHost=71.52.228.156
socksHost=
checkServerTimeSpeed=1
checkClientTimeSpeed=0
Any ideas?

Most of the time when someone can't join, it is a port forwarding issue on your router. Maybe you don't have a router? We need some more info I think.

Your netspeed is waaaaaaaaay too high for starters.
reduce it to 5000 or 8000 or select 56k (regardless of what connection you have) in il2setup.
With netspeed this high you will also mess up games you join. It's no wonder only one client can join. The connection is completely choked with one client. Others do not have a chance to get through. LOWER all the settings until you have a game that people can join. THEN you can try to up settings SLOWLY one at a time. LOOSE all the time checks etc. too until you have a working situation.
Adding zeroes to netspeed will NOT make your hosting ability better. It will only choke your connection ( and any host's connection you join).
If anyone can connect, port 21000 UDP is open (and forwarded if using a router). If it were not no one would be able to connect.
Ease the Lag warnings and times too.

Good information Max. I just learned something new about hosting.

It didn't work.
I set it to 5000. One of the two guys who tried was able to join, the other wasn't. Even when he was the only one who tried. So one of them hosted and we were all able to join.
This is most annoying!

Did the players who wanted to join set their netspeed to 5000 too?

I had same probelem bro, Dam vista and new ethernet/wireless modem.
Even afetr forwarding ports etc still sporadic.
What worked for me was, I got a mate to host a game first, then Myself and others joined,
spawn in and then quit, it may seem silly but I was the one neededto host.
I then hosted a DG game and all could join.
It may be just a thing that needs doing once you have set your ports forwarding.
So, get one to host first, join , leave then host a game yourself.
Hope this helps mate.
