I'd like to model the squad after a historic one, the 487th FS, 352nd FG, I'm sure you know George Preddy. I wanted to find a few chaps to start a group with. Not sure if it will be a squad that has flight time requirements or one that has a casual atmosphere. I'd like to do some dogfighting and maybe some group fighter missions agaisnt AI or something. a bit historical. I think thios squad would be for the older WWII fan that loves the P-51. Myself and my friend will be atarting and heading up the squad. taking members in advance of the next patch which i hope will have a flyable p-51
Respectful pilots only please.

Hey Vader,
You're not the only one. The 352 is taken, by at least 2 other groups as far as I know. I don't think there's a 357th yet. However, I've already started a squad that will specialize in the P-51 just as soon as it becomes available. You might consider coming aboard my group, the fictitious 487th FG, as we could join forces in a common goal. I am rigorously training my guys in the P-39 because it is an awesome precursor to mastering the Mustang, just as it was in real life. We also practice solid energy tactics in combination with dual-attack Loose Deuce. Robert L. Shaw wrote the ultimate manifesto, and we're his disciples.
In the 487th you get:
Team atmosphere, but room for individuality
We challenge ourselves, and don't take the easy way
Sharing, teaching others
High realism settings
Emphasis on fundamentals
E Tactics
NO padlocking
P-39's, P-47's, and (soon) P-51's
No respect for Hurricane *****s and Yak Hags
High Altitude missions
A cocky swagger, like any real fighter pilot
Total war philosophy (vulching = legit GA)
We are dedicated to demonstrating P-51 hegemony online!
Check out our website:

Join us, and together we will rule the skies!

Yep the 352nd FG is taken by three groups, and the 357th is taken too. However there are a few WWII USAAF groups that are not being used that would be really cool. the 55th FG, 339th FG, 355th FG these groups were all Mustang groups and it would be really cool to see some of the lesser known groups poppin up. Good luck to you in whatever you decide, and if I can be of any assistance let me know.
