Crash to desk top

Hi People.
I'm quite new to this so please help if poss.
Bought sh3 of e-bay 2 weeks back. got it installed, but get so far into mission 9, it goes to desktop. restart misson sets me in openwater with damage to flak gun and crashes to desktop. please help

Hey man, had the same problem... only seemed to happen in career mode... easy fix...

First, update SH3 (for me I had to go to 1.3, I later went to 1.4)

Second, what kind of video card are you using? ATI? Well, for me, as soon as I reinstalled the catalyst? drivers (video drivers) it started working fine. Not sure if it was the vid. drivers or the patch (Pretty sure it was the vid. drivers), but afterwards, worked like a charm.

Even if you are running another type of vid. card, give it a try.

Just so you don't misunderstand me... don't DO NOT install ATI drivers if its not your card.

Use your manufactures drivers

I had strange things happening to my computer when I first started playing as well. Fixed it with a more powerful power supply and a more powerful video card. I would suggest at least a 400 Watt P/S and a 9600XT or greater. This is my own experience others may have a different result.

yet.Only on dialup till july 10th so will sort it then.

i dont think it's my system
