I have a laptop with an Radeon 7500 but it wont load onto the main menu, I think this game sucks I have never seen a game with this many problems, they should have fixed it before they brought the game out !!!! Look at the forum its flooded with problems, if you can find a game with people having that many problems I would be very suprised. I hope they fix it very soon because this is not the way you should make a game.

I agree.I have never had so much difficulty installing a game and playing it...its just horrific at this point.and after five hours of trying ..Im at a loss for words..except I'll return the game..get a fresh copy.and pray that works..it looks and feels like a good game.but too many glitches for something like this...ohh well.back to call of duty.which Ithink is awesome!..Im hoping BIA will live up to its potential

First of all, before you buy a game, check the system requirements. Since a graphics card with at least pixel shader 1.0 is need, no wonder your Radeon 7500 doesn't work. That's your fault. Gearbox and Ubi have clearly stated BIA requires a graphics card with at least PS1.
Secondly, you can't get into the menu. That's one problem. But you say you've never seen a game with so many problems? What, ONE problem? How could you possibly know of any more problems in the game if you can't even get past the main menu?
Thirdly, installing the game and playing, for me, was a breeze.
And finally... yes if you don't like BIA go back to CoD and don't come back.

same here nobtrio but not everyone has specs like you (dont take it serious)

A_J_C_N, that's the thing, my specs are average:
AMD Athlon 2600+ Mobile
Ti4200
2x 256Mb PC3200 (512Mb)
80Gb SATA.
Doesn't seem so to me. I'm only lucky that the Ti4200 scraped in with PS1 making me able to play this game.
Dont you start either.

See the problem here? ArthurNijman112 is bashing BIA when it was up to him to check the sys req's before buying the game with his money.
I doubt driver's will help the problem, looks like you won't be able to play the game on that laptop.

I know what ya guys mean but still you should be able to play a game on even the worst computer, btw. I havn't had any problems with any games at all. but i dont care I might download the game later on again if I have a new computer.

quit all your whining this game is a masterpiece
it is just that this is a real gamers game if you want to keep up you better update your system this is just the beginning of things to come and to you DEVO guys concrats on a piece of true art: ) the only thing I would suggest is to put system spec req, in 2 ' bold letters with a flashing neon sign so some people will read them before they blame thier problems on you KUDOS

ArthurNijman112 - "you should be able to play a game on even the worst computer"
Yep, well i've suffered many many years of my life not being able to play the most recent and popular games cause my computer was way out of date. Sad really, things revolving around computer games like that.
But some aspects of games won't be able to be included if it's meant to run for a 1Ghz-based PC, so therefore the game won't really be worth making since a lot of games these days are just to push hardware.

Hi,
Just a note on specs on the box. They quote €œ1 GHz Pentium III or AMD Athlon (2.5 GHz Pentium IV or AMD recommended)€. I have a 1.4 GHz AMD Athlon and the game doesn't work because of the SSE instructions used in it.
So for "some" people out there the game doesn't work even if they comply to all the specs on the box.
Upgrading my CPU to an AMD Athlon XP is not an option because my mother board revision doesn't support it (well it€s not an option without getting a whole new rig ;-) ).

I never said it wouldnt work on a Laptop...lots of ppl got it working. They got it working...from trying different drivers. The problem is that if it doesnt work, dont expect Official Support to get it working for you. (Hence the warning on the Box) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yeah well not every gamer in the world is really knowledgable at computers. Not everyone knows the difference between a Radeon 7500 and a GeForce 4.
I have a
Pentium 4 CPU 1400MHz
1.40 GHz, 512 MB of RAM
GeForce FX5700 LE
Samsung CDRW/DVD SM-308B T100
Everything is updated, everything is virus-free, but the most I can do with this game is install it, and it won't let me play or uninstall it. I get a "0xc0000005" error, as I said in one of my old posts.
I am just disappointed that I can get HL2 to work very nicely on my comp but not this game and that I have to get more expensive parts for my computer every 2 years to get up to speed with new games that I don't even know if I'll like or not. This is one of the many reasons people prefer console over PC.
Maybe in the future, PC games will come with their own drivers and required parts.

Game runs fine on this computer.Never did get ri**** to work though.
abit AV8 AMD64bit 3500+
4-512meg. PC3200
2-160Gig Sata (Raid0)
Nvidia 6800gt
I had problems with several games untill i
"COMLETLEY" uninstalled the old video and soundcard drivers and installed the newest ones.I agree though that i have had more problems with dvd games .I think the developers expect everybody to have perfect computers.Well thats kinda hard with windows.Hope you get the game running because it is a pretty cool one.

For laptop users i suggest trying different drivers. Thats all I can say.
Havoc im guessing youve tried the fixes in the sticky: How to Fix BIA? if not some of thsoe amy help you...Also keeping your machine up to date driver wise is more important than regular computer users realize.

Roger that; I've already tried the stuff on the sticky post. I appreciate the help I've received so far even though it hasn't fixed my problem. Perhaps the next patch will fix everything. Anyways, I'll work on updating stuff again for my comp.
I could go on on what the original purpose of the personal computer was, but that's offtopic.

I agree. Too many companies, too many products, too many conflcits. Its not just a software issue(games) its down to hardware as well. You really have to be careful when you buy stuff for your computer these days...its too easy to buy something uncompatable. And with computers becoming obsolete so quickly doesnt help that either. Give it 2 years or so and even WinXP will be dead...

Agreed. Drivers are a bigger thing than ppl make them out to be.

ok burke, please explian why my video gamma keeps getting dark. I set it to 6, the 7, then 8 and it seems to reset itself..but the settings stay at 6, 7, or 8, where ever i move the slider to. radeon 9800 pro.
this game is average at best!

I too was an idiot and did not read the box very carefully. I ONLY had a CD-RW and NOT a DVD drive. I did purchas an external DVD, it works great by the way. I have a P4 2.66ghz with a RADION 9700 Viper Pro 128.
I did have to update to the latest Catalyst but the game installed and plays like a champ. Love it!
I guess we all need to read the minimums FIRST before we buy.

Check make sure your BIA/User .ini's arent set to read only.
Right click on them, properties, make sure the "read Only" Box isnt checked.
