View Full Version : Just thinking out loud...

I first came across FragDolls while reading a post in the hardocp.com forums, a couple months back. It was cool to hear about an all female clan and how they are actually good at the games they play. I think its great to see more women join the gaming ranks.

So anyway, I found the Fragdolls first 'blog' website and read everything, and just recently came across this new site. (Looks good by the way) I will admit though, that I am a bit skeptical. It's almost too perfect in a sense. I sincerely hope this is not some evil scam by ubisoft just to gain publicity. Though I will add, you are all extremely good writers. I still can't help thinking that this is all too good to be true. Though deep down, I think I may just be extremely jealous. Just keep in mind people, I am merely expressing my lowly opinion...

Also, Jinx and Kat are drop dead gorgeous, and I have developed a schoolboy crush on the both of you. (most likely along with the rest of the male gaming population)

Well ya know, its about how we all read and process it to form our own lowly opinions on them and the idea of the Frag Dolls.

An Evil scam for publicity? No, they decided to sponsor us as a team out of pure charity I think. It was between giving charity to us, or those people with the tumors in their brain. I guess we just got lucky.

And thank you for the complement P1.

Actually, its plink. :P The 'L' was already taken. (and the 'J' is silent)

wow... brain tumors or frag dolls. You should somehow turn that into a team slogan:

"The FragDolls: Slightly more needy than a child with a brain tumor."

It has a nice ring to it...

Wellll.... maybe. That really is a tough one though. Hot video game playing chicks, or dying children.... You know, I may not be able to make that decision. Unless it was, dying children with tumors PLAYING video games. Then you lose. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Hmm, another very tough question. I am very competitive. But I definetely have a soft spot for the dying tumor children, or dtc's as I have come to call them. Alas, I would most likely have to throw down my controller and sob aloud, in the emotional torment that I would be feeling at that very moment. Which would most likely last an entire 3 and a half seconds. Then I would wipe my nose and kick some serious dtc ***!

For those of you who are reading impaired, I will point out that the above is sarcasm, in its greatest form. I do not think children with brain tumors is anything to laugh about, in any way, shape or form. Unless it involves a firetruck, a trampoline and a burning piano...

No, they don't. Dont be silly. We're talking about dying children here. What kind of a sick person gives a child with a tumor a sniper rifle? ....and they wonder why our planet is so screwed up these days. Sheesh. I would expect that kind of talk from a 14 year old boy? But from a grown women like yourself?

What I'm actually thinking:

...wow, I've now moved on from my schoolboy crush, and have fallen in love. A women after my own heart. *sniff* giving sniper rifles to dying children. *wipes tears of joy from eyes* It's just so beautiful.

Haha P1ink I know what you're saying though. When I first came across this link which was mentioned in one of Zoe's articles from Gamespy I was like "Nooooo way". I've actually known quite a few female gamers in my day, but never a collaboration of such beautiful ones!

There is a notion that even I suffer from that all female gamers are hideous and don't look like normal human beings. Like they are some vile abomination that is only playing computer games because nobody will hang out with them. Now I know that comes off as strongly harsh... but a sad truth. Perhaps in the future this will no longer be a stereotype with help of people like The Fragdolls http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

My girlfriend is Anti-Gaming. She gives me the hardest time for wanting to play... and since I shacked up with her I barely play anymore and it's killing me! Gaming is a huge stress relief in my life. It helps me to forget about all the day to day **** I have to deal with and immerse myself in lala land. Anyhow enough of my ranting about nonsense nobody wants to hear about haha.

Sim City kicks ***. The sims 2 is fun also... kinda hard sometimes to keep up with his/her asperations sometimes... until I grab infinate money http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/icon_twisted.gif (I am notorius for cheating on some games and on others I dont do it at all... I have a wierd pattern with it.) That is only AFTER getting like 5 promotions and then your job just kinda leaves you hanging so close for another one and it makes me mad...

Two things:

1) Never trust a dyng child with a sniper rifle, they have nothing to loose.

2) For everyone who wanted to know why we never talk smack about games, here it goes.
I HATE Sims 2!! I am sorry - I am trying SO hard to like it, I really am. I play it at least an hour a day, but still nothing.

Someone please tell me the secret because I am just not feelin it (and this from the woman who lost relationships over "Animal Crossing", now THAT was a fun game).

lol, nice. Sick, but nice.

As for the sims 2, can someone please explain the point of this game? Like how do you finish it, what are you supposed to do. It obviously isnt about building the biggest baddest house. I think I read somewhere it was about relationships. I myself, prefer actual real human relationships with people instead of watching AI on a screen. Maybe its just me though, cause I'm sure there are others out there who are sick of the whole reality thing and would rather try and get a polygonal charcter to fall in love with them...

The sims 2... well let me try to go in on this one (I am shooting in the dark here people... give me a chance or as I like to say "Throw me a bone here people") The sims 2 people find fun because you get to run somebodies life and choose thier job and their friends and start a relashinship and get married and have kids and yadda yadda yadda. Its all just about running somebodies life and being creative with it. With the sims 2 they have asperations that you need to reach so it gives a defined goal and stuff to work twards. It takes a lot of time to develop your character in this game.

Or, Boo, you could just go adopt the homeless guy that lives under the bridge and do the same with him.

I'm all for joining Kimi in the anti-Sims body condom. .... wait, maybe I should've rephrased that.. In any case, I'd avoid the Sims for no other reason than EA milks the hell out of it with one weak expansion after another. I get a good view of said milking because my little brother coughs up the cash each and every single time.

HAHAHA sicko!

Most of my friends' girlfriends aren't hardcore gamers but they do play. When we have Halo nights, everyone gets playing and we have a blast.

I'm always teased that when I go out with my friends, I have to go talk shoes and clothes with the girls while the guys talk RC Cars and Video Games. YEAH RIGHT! Hey man, I love Versace and D&G but I'm not gonna waste valuable conversation time talking about how a red Coach bag would compliment my dark hair when I can talk about how to defeat Pyramid Head on SH2 (hehe yeah old analogy but it's my favorite SH). It's just not me.

We're out there and dying to find boys who let us play without belittling us just cuz we have innies instead of outies!

I must be living in the wrong province/country. All the girls up here... are just that. Girls. The ones that do play games... need to shower more often than the 15th of every month.

Don't get me wrong though, I like girly girls... for the most part. (not the immature, screaming, giggly, all about shoes kind) But the ones that know how to look good and take care of themselves. I definetely don't want an all out tomboy, otherwise I'd rather just hang with actual guys. That being said, if I could meet a chick that had the same passion for gaming and music that I do, and has the qualities/character I look for in a woman. Heck, I'd marry her on the spot.
