The systems look incredibly user friendly

They model the new 'pits so us flightsim junkies can actually learn the systems quite easily. Unfortunately theres no such thing as respawn IRL.

It may be gehhh, but i have my stick and throttle (X-52) set up exactly the same way. And i did this without even knowing that they are now using side-mounted sticks. It is much more ergonomic and intuitive, although the shorter stick-throw could be a slight problem. I'd love to have a longer stick, but i guess i'd still mount it on the side and not the front.
Front-mounted sticks were for use with both hands, they finally understood that you don't need that anymore with modern fighter planes and digitally controlled flight surfaces.

I have, it looks like he's flying a UAV with an xbox 360 controller. I'd like to know if that's just in the advert or if they really do use them. It doesn't seem that crazy when you think about it, a lot of design work has gone into making game controllers light and reliable.

Sorry for the bit of necromancy, but I've been away for a while. This caught my eye on review, so allow me to direct your attention to page 19 of the following PDF from Bell Helicopter.
