The centering force is nonexistent on my Microsoft ForceFeedback 2 joystick in Lo-mac. Just like before, in the demo. Seems like it hasn't been fixed.

Yes, I have the same problem here.
It's impossible to play like this.
They have to fix that Damn annnoying bug or the game will be ruined for me...
They Just have to fix it.

Yep, same here. HAHA, seems like they didnt read the forums after the demo was released, there were plenty of complaints about this before. I'm MAD!

I am also using a wet noodle to play this sim. Very annoying considering it was mentioned in the demo.

Just wanted to add my name to the list of no-tension limp noodle flyers - funny though, I get force-feedback from stalls and such (which I usually turn off in Forgotten Battles) - but I would still like some tension!

we need viagra for these Microshaft Farce Feedback sticks.
no centering or tension although stall are registered w/ juddering. Made sure and got the latest driver as well. Which by the way are the last ones as Micrshaft is no longer selling them once old stock is gone thats it.....

OK - I tried all night to get used to playing this without the tension, but I just can't. I'm so bummed because I see so many other people having fun with this game and I simply can't play it this way! (That and the whole TrackIR issue - but at least that is being worked on)

I noticed Stormin responds to a lot of the threads over in General - if you're reading this, do you guys have an ETA on getting it fixed? I really want to fly this thing!

I had the same problem with my joystick in the demo. I quit playing the demo after a hour or so, it was just too frustrating to use with no centering. I was going to buy the retail figuring they would address this very well known issue, but I guess I'll have to take this game off my "buy" list.

It is a shame that what appears to be a fun game, is ruined by such an issue. It is a even bigger shame that the game makers think so little of us MS users to address this, or to even post a message that it will be patched.

At least it's good to know I wasn't the only one with this issue in the demo....

I haven't got my copy of LOMAC yet since I'm european, but I do have the MSFF2 and I know the dreaded 'dead noodle' feeling from alt-tabbing in IL2 and FB.

Will probably get the game on release-date anyway, since the dev. team obviously have made a quality title after all, and seem committed to fix bugs after release.

bump - for the developers. I've seen them reply to other posts in this forum - just wanted to make sure they know about this.

Played all last night with the limp stick - it's doable but not anywhere as enjoyable as it would be with the return to center tension on.

heyhoe folks,

i had the same problem wirth the return to center tension being absent. until this issue is hopefully fixed in the patch (i want full force feedback), u can use this tool - it enables the rtct in every game:

yep, it works with lock on, i am glad there's a tool like this. i think this is the only version out (v1.3b). and although it's called prebeta it works. just load the program before starting lock on and press f10 while the mission is loading (you have to repeat that for every new mission). i switched off gear forces and the engine vibrator, as i my su seems to have only one gear...

Hi there,

just tested with the RTC tool. Only problem is if you want to give orders to the wingman or call AWACS using the F5 key the small program stops in the back and the return to Center feature is gone until the next restart of the SIM....

Can't you just reassign the F5 in LOMAC to something else? Not trying to be a smart a$$, but I'm really hoping this will fix my joystick once I get home tonight....

you don't have to restart the sim, just press f10 to switch rtc on again. sure its not perfect but it works.
