When playing, game is restarting graphic driver

Hello,
I have just purchased this great game, but I have one big problemhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

After a few minutes playing, my screen goes black, my two monitors show "no signal" and after few second the screen is restored and I can normally play again. Problem is, that this occures every few minutes. I have no problems in other games like that.

In Windows System Event Report it says, that "Graphic driver nvlddmkm stopped working and was succesfully restored" (Event ID 4101).

My configuration: Windows 7 64bit, Settlers 7 (updated to 1.07), graphic card Nvidia GTX260 (latest graphic drivers, no overclocking, temperatures until 70 degrees)

I tried low,medium,high settings, full screen, window mode... no difference.

I want to ask tech. supp. if they dont know, what to do, cause I would like to enjoy this great gamehttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif ?

I had the game playing fine on release, then after 2 weeks or so Nvidia drivers came out and i had the display error.

Removed all drivers and installed previous 196.34, Fixed the problem for good for me.

Not to beat a dead horse, but were they as old as 196.xx? Just asking because I faugly remember rolling back a set or two and have found on my PC the issue is within the last few driver updates. (I also have a GTX260)

The display driver problem either way is related to the driver not the game. Its a very common problem that could happen randomly. It also happens on both ATI and Nvidia cards too.

Yeah I did have the same problem...
From what I remember, all I did was uninstall the graphic driver and all previous versions through Device Manager, then installed 196.37. Never saw it again, sorry I couldnt help.

Thanks anyway. I think, I will be not able to play Settlers on my PC (what a shame). Tried to disable second monitor, tried to underclock my GTX 260. Tried everything... nothing helped. Still the same problem with restoring display driver... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
