Hi,

I can't get the water reflection to work. The water looks blueish, and flickers occasionally. I've got a Radeon 9700 pro, latest drivers (5.1) and DX9c.

The 9700 pro is a supported card, so normally it shouldn't have problems with the reflections. Is antialiasing set to "let the application decide" in your graphics card settings? Forcing AA will cause graphics problems. The only thing I can suggest is to try and tweak the advanced settings in "BG&E settings" (including the ones in the compatibility settings).

I've tried all options in the compatibility settings (on vs off) and nothing makes a difference. Patched/unpatched doesn't matter either. As far as anti-aliasing goes, forced and not forced gives the same effect. Everything else looks perfect, so I'm a bit in the dark here.

Thanx

Strange problem... Did you also try to change the refresh rates/resolution?

Yes. Doesn't help a bit. Reinstalling didn't help. Reinstalling XP didn't help. Running the game in a compatibility setting didn't help. The game ran ok on my ancient GeForce 256.... (this is a fresh XP install so there aren't any nVidia drivers left here). All other modern games run fine (Half Life 2, UT2k4 etc.). I've searched the web for this, but it seems I'm the only one with this problem, and it even shoudn't exist!

Yeah, I don't understand either. Especially since the game was tested with a 9700 Pro... I'm afraid I can't be of much help here http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Well... I'll play it just as happy without reflections, but I'm not a technical noob, so not being able to find a solutions irritates me a bit. Thanx for your input.
