Can you say most annoying video of all time. Never realized how many sounds he made though. Anyway, besides the launch games is it specific to a edition. I pre-ordered months ago at Gamestop and wondering if it will be on there as well as everything else? Will this also count for the Digital Deluxe edition for the PC? Or even the normal edition on digital retailers such as Steam?

Because you just have to download it, and the download can be a good size of space. Unless of course UbiSoft doesn't wish to host it on their servers...

But it would be pretty easy to do on Steam. I see new games giving away earlier games in the series for free all the time in Pre-Orders. Hell, even another UbiSoft game, the deluxe edition of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, gives one of the earlier Prince of Persia games from 2002 for free.

I just think it's unfair to give it only to the PS3 players, when the PC players have the ability to do something like that too. :/

What if I preordered the game before E3 would I be getting a copy then cause I'm pretty sure I was pretty close to being the first or at least I hope so. And yeah would the AC1 already be on the revelations disk or would it he a totally different disc.

@ jexx21: since i'm not an actual ubi rep (i'm just a volunteer moderator) i can't give you actual information. although, i suppose it's entirely possible for them to do, i would say it's probably unlikely. it might be a special deal with sony. hopefully i'm wrong though. while this doesn't bother me much (i have a ps3 AND i already own AC1), i can see it putting a damper on some of the other fans.

Not that it matters to me, I have AC1, I'm just curious since we are dealing with the same chuckleheads who released the 'complete' edition of AC2, which was in fact the 'incomplete' edition (lol) and some dlc codes.

I have the animus edition preordered from gamestop UK for £99.99, since mid july, so i really hope that has AC1 on it, for the simple fact i've paid £99.99 lol

I'm really surprised nobody has asked the burning obvious question yet.... Trophies

Will AC1 on the bluray disc have trophies patched in, seeing as the original release on xbox had achievements, and the ps3 version got screwed over regarding that, still can't understand why companies that released multi platform games in the ps3s early days gave achievements to xbox versions but no trophies on the ps3 (lego batman/indiana jones 1 were guilty of this too, but of course that's another company)

So back to my original point, trophies? please say yes, it'll give me a reason to play AC1 again, as i still remember the story

i know they are but having played it once on pc, and once on ps3, i have no urge to replay it, especially not messing about getting all the flags for nothing, trophies add to the game, give it longevity, if they aren't going to do it right, don't bother doing it at all

They try to hook into your primitive progress questing instincts to add a perception of longevity for those who play games on a very shallow level.

It can be argued whether that is a positive contribution or not.

i would like to say we should start a petition to get ubisoft to add trophy support to Assassins creed 1 and also be nice to get trophies in Rainbow six vegas 2 as that was a really good game any ways lets start one its unfair how xbox has achievments for these games and we do not itd be boring to replay the game and get nothing out of it for most of it any ways if ubisoft truly was a ps3 fan theyd give us ps3 fans fricken trophies for those games!

As ubisoft said, it's a limited number of first issue games that come with it, i would presume all the animus editions will as they are the most expensive versions, but i can neither confirm that as true nor false.

If you are ordering the animus edition just to get AC1 i would recommend saving yourself about £60 and just buying acr standard edition and a copy of ac1 seperately

Far as I'm aware all first run copies - Animus, Collector's or vanilla editions - of the PS3 version will include Assassin's Creed for free. Whether it's a download code for the PS Store or on the actual Revelations BD-ROM is to be seen.

The offer itself is being made in association with SCE, so it's gonna be valid in all SCE regional territories. So, yes, you'll recieve Assassin's Creed for free seeing as you pre-ordered it, which guarantees a first run copy.

It has been stated countless times that it is on the disc and not digital download, that's one of the reasons the offer is ps3 exclusive, due to the extra storage space on a bluray disc

I think it really sucks that AC1 don't have trophies.
If it would, it would motivatie me more to actually play it on PS3.

I have a PS3 and a 360 but I have pre-ordered ONLY a 360 copy of Revelations. I would consider buying a copy for the PS3 as well IF Ubisoft updated AC1 to include subtitles. As a deaf gamer who loves the AC series the fact that the 1st game doesn't have subtitles truly sucks and it's been my hope that one day Ubisoft would update the game to include subtitles. I'm doubting that this will happen with the PS3 copy of Revelations and probably won't happen at all, but it would certainly increase sales of the game and the series among deaf gamers.

I only played Assassin's Creed 2 to get Uplay points to use for Splinter Cell Conviction before it came out. If not for that I probably never would have played the game because the 1st game in the series doesn't have subtitles and that makes continuity in the series a problem for deaf gamers.

I HAVE played AC1 despite not having subtitles, but I rented it from Gamefly. I have no intention of buying a copy of it as long as it doesn't have subtitles.

On semi-related note... I'm a bit disappointed that the whispers have returned in ACR multiplayer yet there is STILL no equal access for deaf gamers by substituting vibration for audio cues. I was hoping Ubisoft would address that issue in ACR since it wasn't addressed in Brotherhood but unfortunately it has once again been overlooked. It's because of this I don't play Brotherhood multiplayer nearly as much anymore and probably for the same reason I don't see myself playing Revelations multiplayer very long either.

I hope the following is clear enough?

AC1 on PS3 has no trophies - due to it being a reissue of the original game [it is not a updated version].

AC1 on Xbox 360 does have achievements though.

Reason why?

The PS3 version of AC1 was developed before the PS3 had trophies - trophies were added by Sony as a feature some time after the PS3 launch and the games release - AC released in November 2007.

"Trophies" were introduced to the PlayStation 3 in system software update 2.40 in July 2008.

Although I had AC1 on the xbox 360 I never got round to completing it. I think I got rid of it ages ago. Assassin creed 2 is what really hooked me to the franchise. Having said that it would be great to have it on the same disk as revelations.. a good excuse to play it again wouldn't you say?

Why would you assume that a download version would be for the PC? Aren't there full retail games available on PSN for download? I'm pretty new to the PS3 so I haven't downloaded much more than add-ons and themes but I know that Xbox has Games On Demand which is full retail games that you can download and play. I assume that PSN would have something similar.

That being said... I do think that the game will be on the disc regardless.

Yeah but I don't think I've ever seen a promotion in which you can input a code to the PSN and get a game for it. That only works for adding funds to your wallet as far as I'm aware.

you've clearly never really used the store properly, quite a lot of games offer codes for downloadable games/add on content, a more recent example is the special edition of metal gear solid HD which comes with a code to download the original metal gear solid

But it's a moot point anyway as ac1 comes on the disc! i really am getting tired of having to repeat the same thing over and over.

The deal is ps3 only, because ps3 use bluray whereas xbox use dvdr, bluray can hold a substantially larger amount then a dvdr, and that's why the AC1 deal is ps3 exclusive, because it comes on the bluray disc because they have the capacity to hold AC1 aswell as AC:R, it was announced a while ago

yeah it seems that AC1 is only available on day one copies. Atleast that is how it is advertised on Shopto.net. As long as you have a preorder you should be fine.

Uh.. PC's have Blu-ray drives also in some cases, and there's no reason not to give a download code to the PC versions to download the game off of UbiShop. UbiShop only sells PC downloads anyway.

But the again, Sony buys their deals. The AC1 free with ACR is the same case as the Copernicus Conspiracy DLC with the PS3 version of Brotherhood.

That's not the main reason though. If you look in the past, almost every single ac game had something exclusive to the ps3. AC1 was almost exclusive itself to ps3. If there wasn't sometime of deal, there would be nothing stopping them from giving AC1 to Xbox users. They could easily give you a code so you download of the marketplace as it is already on there to buy.

I was suspecting this as well. But it would be stupid to put in trophies since I have done so much on it! You can like copy the game to a new user and it won't tell you that you can't play it, because it doesn't belong to this user. A patch would not do.

Dear Ubi. In 5 days Revelations comes out and yet i have still seen no gameplay from the game on the PS3. Which usually happens when the game has a nice BROKEN frame-rate and pooe overal performance and you just sell it without showing it first. The first Assassin's Creed is indeed on the same blu-ray disk as Assassin's Creed: Revelations. When you insert the game into your PS3, two games will be available for selection at the Playstation menu where there would normally only be one. The original Assassin's Creed is the option under Assassin's Creed: Revelations, if it was included in your game.

I am a fans of the AC series form Singapore. Just bought the game yesterday and I found out that AC1 did not include in ACR. Called the local distributor just now and they told me the game contents are in charged by UBISOFT so they are unable to do anything for me. What sholud I do?

PS: My ACR is PS3 version and it's region 3(Asia).

Others pointed out that it does not come with a code or anything and is included on the blu-ray and should just play. It's been just over a year since ACR was published. Did they place a one-year limit on the free AC1 and forgot to tell anyone?

Is it second hand? Maybe it is linked to another account perhaps? Or they could, as you said, have added a 1 year expiration date.
