A former Emir here died. Since my company works for their government we were give the next two days off. My boss called late last night with the news. I am lost in a sea of possibilities.
The bad news, no liquor, porn or any other hedonistic activities, and, due to visa restrictions, no flying to such places on short notice. Also, I am new here so I don't have many friends yet; and my family is yet to join me (some of you may consider that a good thing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif).
The good news, I am staying at a 5 star resort, I have a nice car and a city of 3 million at my disposal.

What you should do and what you will do are two separate things. The trick is not to feel guilty about what you do http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I would wake up, lay by the pool. Check out the fine sights http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif THEN I would go for a run and look for houses for sale while on the run. Then pick up trash and throw it away along the way (helps the world). Then go home take a shower and relax behind a computer and play some video games. BOOM everything done.
P.S. Run past a XXX shop, maybe stop and get ya something to pass the time tommorow http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

If you had a laptop, you could be on the PC by the pool. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

Of course, in lack of all hedonistic stuff one can enjoy.
But Teh Gym is recommendable anyway http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif.

Well, some great advice, and some not so great http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif
As it was I had a leisurly breakfast, followed by goofing off on the computer. I went out and found a nice place to live; I sign the lease today and move in tomorrow. I can't say I helped the world, but I did do something selfless for the Mrs. and one of my sons.
I had a nice late lunch. Am I the only one who doesn't mind going to a sit down restaurant alone. I prefer company, but will eat alone if I have to when I am out of town. I have known people who absolutely refuse to eat in a restaurant alone.
I ended up the evening by getting a call and going to a little get together. We had pork ribs (illegal here - brought in from the american base - you can't imagine how much you actually miss pork) with homemade wine and date rum. I guess that is as much hedonism as I can get here. Oh, and I got the video game check in the block by playing xbox with one of the brit kids. Nothing like being taunted by an 11 year old http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.
So not a bad day, I just didn't hit the pool and I continue to procastinate on the gym. Maybe today I will do that. I also have a voucher here for the spa. The only problem is that they only give same sex massages in this country. I don't know if I'm digging that idea (great seinfeld episode, btw).
