I keep seeing hints that I can just go directly to any are I have visited before by selecting it from the destination menu - what is this destination menu & how do I access it?

I figured it out, for anyone else who wants to know:
The destination menu is not something you can access at all times. It is only available at certain points in the game, like when you first enter the jungle. But you can't, say, just jump back to the beach any old time you want to...

i stuck on cave.. i change some things with sawyer and i bought 2 lamps :/ and i want to go back to beach, but i cant... i dont know how!
can u help meee? plsssssss

You need to go through the cave to get to the plane. You shouldn't need to go back to the beach for anything. (This drove me crazy with worry about getting back through the cave once you got to the cockpit, don't worry, you won't need to.
I found with the cave it was just trial & error for me.
First you go to the left, then the right where the bats are, and after that, you have to go through a waterfall or two.
I remember it being tricky because you end up doubling back on yourself.
If you are really stuck, try drawing up a visual map every time you turn.

Oh, and I hope you have all the fuses you need once you get to the plane, otherwise you'll have to back to the beach...

You don't need the ones from the beach. There is a broken fuse panel to the right that has all the fuses you'll need.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that.
All I remembered was running needing to get the ones at the beach. Now that you mention it, I also remember feeling very stupid when I found the other panel...
