After reading Oraqs thread on A.I i thought i'd post a few pictures about something i saw one patrol i saw this scene on the islands above Scotland.

Each one of those smouldering wrecks is an aircraft that has seemingly crashed for no reason.

On a second point how "destroyed" does a plane have to be before it goes down?!

This hurricane was hit and a flaming wreck but just flew away, much to my frustration, as if everything was fine http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif you may be able to see my boat in the background http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

I know your pain. If they burn, it does not mean they have to go down. What i do usually, when my gunners hit a plane and it catches fire, I man the gun myself and finish it off, since they like to randomly switch to different targets. Some practice and you'll get it. BTW, i use the Flakzwilling, i can't bolt down a quad mount yet

I've never seen planes that have crashed out of nowhere like that but I have seen a plane come at me that was on fire and I didn't even shoot at it any. I just saw a flaming ball flying through the sky and thought it was a meteor at first.

Most planes that are hit and catch fire crash soon afterwards.

And yes, they do crash into the ocean occasionally after making a too high speed and too low bombing run on you. I rarely get the credit though.. The bastards http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Flakzwilling for me too, it's March 1941, can't wait for one of those heavy flaks to become available, i'm contemplating whether it's worth it to move from my IXB to a IXC for the extra milage, don't think it's worth it but i do have a mountain of renown to spend http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Hey, your career is only a month in front of mine http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif If i were you, i'd wait till the XXI boat becomes available. At least that's what i'm gonna do. And do you really feel like doing patrols near the American coast with the IXc? And i heard that new bucket of bolts costs a loot of renown, the XXI that is

Today when I was near Loch Ewe I saw some flames.
When i went to check it out, I saw that it were Swordfish planes that crashed without reason.

The type XXI is 10000 renown i think, but it won't be available in my career for years yet, and i have a lot more renown than 10000 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif
